The difference is Theis has to be defended around the 3 and opens up the paint. It worked almost immediately as Teague got into the paint.
I don't think the minimal perimeter spacing Theis provides offsets the vertical spacing, efficiency and passing Williams provides over Theis. Just my opinion, but I'd say how our offence has functioned with one vs the other proves my point

8 missed FTs so far.  if we made even a couple of those in regulation, game over.

looking at the box score, you'd think the C's would have won shooting over 50% for the game and just shy of 50% on 3's as well as getting 9 more FT attempts.   but nope, done in by getting killed on the offensive boards -- gave up 17 which allowed Memphis to take 20 more shots.

Teague was phenomenal.  Silver lining.  If he could bottle that, I'd rather have him as our starting PG than Kemba.

Lol imagine pumping up Smart right now... I’m glad he’s mad this loss is on him, just like a bunch of the losses in the playoffs last year. He’ll never understand that he’s not a star.

I would've used Tacko as the change up when The Grizz went into layup line mode. The amount of easy layups The Grizz had was dizzying.....
