LA is always looking for “star power” so any chance either side would go along with these deals, betting that Kemba backs a comeback:

These are both ghastly ideas for us. Imagine proposing an idea that could lead to the Lakers overtaking us in banners
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I no longer worry about them getting past Utah, let alone Brooklyn. And I suspect we might consider ourselves lucky to dump Kemba and get someone like Schroeder or Lou Williams out of it. Imagine them being saddled with a useless Kemba next year, LeBron’s season as a 37 year old...

They're a .667 team despite injury concerns and trying to get new players used to the system, the last thing they need is a free hit on a guy who tops out as an All-Star level guard

I could see a trade to LA.  You just have the wrong LA team.  In my opinion if we are going to move Kemba to any team in the league in a non-salary dump, it would be to the Clippers.

He had two trades in what I saw.  One to the Lakers and one to the Clippers.  I have no idea why Boston would have to give up a pick in the Clippers trade though as there is nothing of note coming back to Boston.  Frankly, I don't even think Boston would in the Lakers trade either given Schroder is the only player of note coming to Boston and he isn't as good as Kemba.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Why would the Celtics trade Kemba and a 1st?
