I’m not sure about you, but for me I can’t see Milwaukee winning or even making the Finals this year and perhaps beyond. Bucks management are currently acting like a gambling addict that is in debt, but thinks they can chase their losses and spend their way out of problems.

It’s funny because their right team for Giannis was there, they just gave it away. Although not this ownerships fault Tobias Harris was there but was given away for nothing and along with Malcolm Brogdon being allowed to walk, their team was set and that’s with picking Parker over Embiid.

Lopez
Antetokounmpo
Harris
Middleton
Brogdon

This five is a true contender with all their future picks still available to move.

I think they need Holiday.  They need that nasty guard defender.  I don't think Harris does much of anything for them and I'm not sure he is the right guy to play with Giannis and Lopez.  Brogdon is obviously missed, but they probably don't have Holiday if they have Brogdon and I think Holiday is better.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Classic case of small market team not wanting to pay role player. They should have paid to keep Brogdon. They wouldn’t have had to mortgage their future for Bledsoe.

Holiday is a very good player. Maybe not as shiny, but on a similar level as Brown.
He can really help the Bucks during the playoffs.

I was looking at how their starting line-up is doing (quite well +10.4 net rating) and I saw that the Kings starting line-up (Fox/Hali/Hield/Barnes/Holmes) we faced yesterday is basically the best starting line-up in the NBA with a net rating of +18.2 !!!

I'm too lazy to put down the numbers, but I'm pretty sure this team would be one of the most expensive teams in NBA history (if not the most expensive). No way the Bucks owner would pay the luxury tax.

Fwiw, I liked the Tucker trade for both teams. The Bucks dumped their dead wood for the price of moving down a few spots in the upcoming draft. Tucker's numbers are down this season, but that's what happens when you trade away an elite playmaker. He wasn't playing alongside Harden anymore. I bet he'll be getting great looks once again now that he'll be playing alongside Giannis.

Tucker is a corner 3 specialist. If I'm not mistaken, Giannis leads the league in assists to corner 3s this season (don't quote me on that, I heard it on the ringer).

Understandable haha

I believe they could have stayed under the taxable cap if they convinced Giannis to accept a max not a super max, which I’m sure of all people Giannis would have done. Remember Harris bounced around for a while and it was seen as an overpay at the time for 76ers to give him the max. I’d say Giannis and Middleton would be their max guys and Harris and Brogdon would be 20 million each and the rest of the roster would be cheaper deals but given they would have all their draft picks they could do. They didn’t want to pay Brogdon because they’d stupidly overpaid Bledsoe midseason. If they still had Harris tied down to a deal they don’t ever trade for Bledsoe. Perhaps they never sign Lopez but they should have their core of Giannis, Harris, Middleton, Brogdon.

But I agree Bucks ownership are cheapskates given they are all billionaires. I believe they had the hide to threaten to move the team if the government didn’t pay for their new arena.
