The good news? Romeo Langford has been cleared to practice for the first time this season.

The bad news? The Boston Celtics rookie entered the NBA health and safety protocols Wednesday.

Langford has been recovering from offseason wrist surgery that has kept him from playing in a game yet this year.

Head coach Brad Stevens isn’t sure just how long Langford will be in protocol.

“Romeo was out because of health and safety protocols,” Stevens told reporters after practice. “He was cleared to play, but then, I don’t know what that means over the next few days and how that will look. But he did not practice today. We got word at about 10 a.m. that he wasn’t going to be able to practice, and I would guess that he will not travel with us.”

That means Langford will miss at least the next two games as Boston tips off its second half of the season against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday before traveling to Houston to take on the Rockets.

Smart has to go

He has stone hands in the 4th

If you are the opposing team. Just instruct to leave Smart alone

Its time to trade him. Its exhausting to keep losing this way

Yes, let’s trade him away, since it’s all his fault that the C’s lost to one of the top two teams in the NBA. Definitely has to go ASAP.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Strangely over the last 7 games, the Celtics only lost two games and those two games were to the two best teams in the league, games that were still in winnable range well into the 4th.

But, yeah, let's trade Smart because he had a bad offensive game. I guess it doesn't matter that Smart single handedly caused 5 Jazz turnovers. Let's ignore that end of the court.

He only really took one questionable shot in crunch time (a rushed three iirc), so it wasn't like he was tanking our offence with poor decision making down the stretch.

His defence was also crucial in this being a winnable game. I hate his shot selection as much as anyone, but there was numerous issues that caused that loss
