So McConnell has the most steals in a half since the stat became official in 1973.  Did not set the game record as he only had 1 in the 2nd half, but did finish with a triple double.  Also, the Pacers were down 10 at half time in part because they were out rebounded 26-6, though Indiana did come back and win.
