Just saw another side out of bounds call and when they showed the replay the player was in bounds. Lots of bad out of bounds calls this year. Why can't the NBA adopt a system like Cyclops like they have for tennis? The NBA clearly has a lot of work to do with officiating. I heard Steve Javie on a game the other night say when he was officiating they were probably wrong 50% of the time. I'd say that's right. The NBA can to up date their officiating technology. What ever they can do to improve should be done and refs that are really bad need to be fined and eventually fired.

I don’t think any of the larger tournaments are going to have line judges anymore. It’s made a huge difference for players and the quality of the matches. No more arguing with the chair umpire for 5 mins about a questionable call. Really has helped move the matches along and I think it gives peace of mind to the players as well. The challenge system is a start in terms of ensuring that the right call is made, but the reviews take too long and it ruins the flow of the game. Shouldn’t take 5 mins to determine who touched the ball last before it went out of bounds...
