I’m repeating myself, but Harrison Barnes is a clean way to realistically fix this team.

The Kings have been in a free fall and their best players are younger than ours and further from competing.  It makes sense to move Barnes, get youth/picks in return, and tank to maybe a top 5 pick.

Barnes isn’t an all star or all that great of a player.  I don’t think he’s going to cost a lot.  He does, however, fill a lot of our shortcomings.  We need a forward with size who can shoot.  We need someone who can average 12-15 points a game to take some of the burden off the J’s.  He’s a also a decent passer who has accepted secondary roles.  His veteran experience would command much more respected than our young bench players.  He’s signed for two years beyond this season with a slightly overpaid but reasonable and descending salary.

Then we can make a smaller move to add a 2/3 type with shooting and scoring.  Someone like Rivers or Ellington who wouldn’t cost more than one or two second round picks.

They’ll have to be some other moving parts to free up salary, maybe ship TT out.  Barnes will cost a first and a little more, but it’s doable.

Staters:
Kemba
Brown
Tatum
Barnes
Theis

Short rotation:
Pritchard
Smart
Rivers/Wellington... a few other guys could fit this role
Robert Williams

Longer rotation and developing players:
Langford
Nesmith
Grant Williams
Semi

Cousins will have a plethora of teams looking to sign him and one NBA agent has a prediction of where he’ll land. Without hesitation, he said the ‘Boston.’

Asked an NBA agent where he thinks DeMarcus Cousins might go. Replied “Boston” within seconds.

In 25 games this season, Cousins is playing 20.2 minutes per game, averaging 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.7 blocks

I fear what a negative Boogie experience could mean for this team. His talent will help this roster, his personality will either galvanize the team by adding a player with a “edge” to him ( to go along with Smart) or he could be a BS nightmare headcase who alienates team mates
His teammates like him and I think he'd potentially help in making players accountable in some ways, but his on court behavior would be horrible for the young guys to see.  The pouting when things aren't going his way, taking several plays off after missing an easy shot so he can complain about nonexistent fouls on him, getting frustrated and following up one missed shot with another dumb mistake or two getting ejected when things aren't going his way, appearing to be the most miserable player in the league who seems to hate playing basketball based on his facial expressions and demeanor- our guys need to have some fun, not have a big time negative presence on the court join the team.  Never mind that he's not a very good player.

I think JT has already mastered this.  He’s got nothing left to learn from DMC. ;)
haha, Jayson definitely pouts when things aren't going his way.  I really miss KG as far as correcting this type of stuff and other intangibles that we are lacking and the coaching staff doesn't seem to provide.

I say no.

Not really interested in picking up a wing who needs the ball and is horrible on defence.  And I don't mind Baynes, but I don't think he improves us righ now.
