There is no rock bottom.

We are hurtling into the abyss.

Feels like it's time to rest the handful of decent ball players on this team and go full on tank mode.

I'm actually fine with Smart getting a T at this point.

Someone showing heart.

As much as Smart has gotten a lot of criticism with his trigger happy ways, at least he CARES.

First players off of Atlanta’s bench: Gallinari And Rondo

First players off the Celtics bench: Pritchard, Nesmith, or Timelord. Two rookies and a center who’s getting better, but still raw. What a joke.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Tatum need not come back out of the locker room after halftime.  He's playing selfishly and his effort is horrible.

Absolutely. But that would require some leadership and accountability, which we apparently don't instill or require on this team.

I remember one of the big criticisms of Brown in Philly was that he never held Simmons accountable for not shooting 3s and lackluster play. Getting a lot of the same vibes from Brad with Tatum.

Yep. Soft.

And Hawks broadcasters just roasting the Celtics - deservedly so.

Getting worse every game...

Not sure how you can watch this team right now and think that the coaching staff - not just Brad, all the coaches - has any control of this team at this point.

Nesmith and Pritchard better get a lot of minutes in the second half or brad needs fired on the spot.  Zero reason not to get these guys on the floor

is Jayson Tatum going to turn out to be one of those star athletes who get their big contract and then decline due to lost motivation ?

You think Tatum is going to Blount it?

No. I think that Covid has done something to him. Brad should probably just sit him for the rest of this one....

Hoping you are right - wouldn't it be something if the covid virus ended up derailing the Celtics season the way it did Donald Trump's campaign ?

Oh, My apologies. Politics has no place in a Celtics game thread. What could I have been thinking ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

this is not the reason the celtics are getting spanked.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Galinari going to hit 7 more threes?

Celts gonna miss all theirs?
