Vuce is my binkie (and the only reason Orlando have more than 6 wins), but I can see why. Vuce, Randle and Sabonis are all on a similar level. Problem is there's only two spots

I 100% agree with Zach Lowe's list from this morning. Wouldn't change a thing.

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/30945744/nba-all-star-ballot-zach-lowe-2021-picks-tough-decisions

Starters:
G Bradley Beal
G James Harden (Lost out to Irving)
FC Giannis Antetokounmpo
FC Kevin Durant
FC Joel Embiid

Reserves:
Tatum, Brown, Adebayo, Irving, Simmons, Randle, LaVine

FWIW I also agree with this West Team

G Damian Lillard (Lost out to Doncic)
G Stephen Curry
FC LeBron James
FC Kawhi Leonard
FC Nikola Jokic

Reserves:
Doncic, Gobert, Davis, George, Paul, Mitchell, Williamson

I think that's fair. Fox has fallen off and DeRozan is close but I think I'd still go with Booker.

The East is really tough to decide. Much deeper than the West this year.
I have Utah with 3 All Stars. They deserve it.

Kind of annoyed Simmons made TBH, I know he has played a lot better lately, but he was kind of dogging it for a while and think there were other more deserving players.

Tatum went 20/6 on 50% last year the night he was named an all star.  Celtics win against the Warriors.  That was also his first game back after missing 3 games.

I'd take all of that tonight or better.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Interesting that neither Eastern All-Star starting Guard made it at all from last year's team (Trae and obviously Kemba).

I was close on the West - as I had Booker over Paul as the only difference, but was way off on the East. No - Sabonis, Bam, Trae. Yes - Vucevic, Lavine, Simmons.

Edit: Major Congratulations to Jaylen btw! He has spent the last three years watching Tatum get all of the attention and accolades. Not that Tatum hasn't earned the attention, but Jaylen has to be over the moon right now. Well deserved!

Booker could still mke it, assuming Davis doesn't go because of his injury. The East is weird, considering Tobias Harris, Bam, Lowry, and Trae Young didn't make it. Can't say I care much though!

Happy for Jaylen, and I hope it has the same effect it had on Tatum last year, which was for him to calm down, ease up on the forced shots, and just play within the team concept.

Can’t believe Simmons made it. He’s regressed on both ends.
