Murray is the first player in NBA history to score 50 points and have no FTA's.  Pretty amazing to have 25 shot attempts and not take a single FT.  Also, pretty amazing to miss just 4 shots as he was 21 of 25 overall and 8 of 10 from 3.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Only one turnover too. Crazy efficient.

Seeing these glimpses from him in the bubble and now must be a bit maddening for Nuggets fans wishing he could do this always

When he's hot he's hot. His issue is next game he could be 4-18 with 8 turnovers.
ok fine

This guy is unstoppable when he is on a heater. He literally doesn’t have a heat check. Did the same things in the playoffs last year during that great series.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I'm embarrassed to say that I took Murray over [my favorite player] Jaylen in my first fantasy draft this season - luckily not my second. Bubble Murray was absolutely insane, and this game shows that potential, but he just hasn't shown that consistency this season.

Anyway, really cool stat. If he can come around, Denver will be really dangerous.

Brown has clearly been better but it isn't like 21, 4.5, 4.5 on a TS% of 58 is bad or anything.

The Western Conference is going to be very fun to watch come playoff time. So many great players and teams.

Bubble Mitchell also looked insane and look where he is now , I pity Gobert for thinking that he was Mitchell's sidekick instead of the other way round.

I think Murray has more potential than Mitchell (he's better at finishing near the rim due to his size and has better touch in the short-midrange/beyond the three point arc, which buoys his efficiency as a volume scorer), but he's really nowhere near a two-way wing who is one of the most valuable non-big defenders in the playoffs and is an efficient second option who can shoulder a heavy offensive load in a pinch without tanking the offence due to his improved playmaking abilities without maintaining those lofty heights in the bubble.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Mitchell has turned into a crazy prolific shooter from 3 this year. Crazy stuff.

The bubble was a bit misleading for a few players eh? TJ Warren most of all. Bubble Booker was also significantly better

Booker is actually way more efficient this year than he was in the bubble.  Shots are down and assists are down, but I think that is much more Chris Paul joining the team than anything else.

TJ Warren has played 4 games this year.

Uh, no he's not. The difference is pretty marginal. His TS% was higher in the bubble because he was elite at drawing fouls, and his 2P% was better in the bubble than this season. His EFG% was lower due to 3 point shooting, but with that improved scoring and passing I don't think that's too bad. Definitely not 'way more efficient'.
Shots are marginally down (about 2-2.5 less shots a game) and his assists are down by about 2 as well. Not sure why his assists would go down so much when he's gone from Rubio to CP3...

While TJ Warren might have only played 4 games, his output in scoring has dropped by about 10PPG and his rebounding has roughly halved.
