As Roy said, if either get bought out I'd be for it probably. Would trade for neither.

Drummond and a pick to TOR, Kyle Lowry to BOS, Kemba to CLE.
Cleveland's best young players are both small guards, this deal makes no sense for them

Touche. Ok, what about a variant of this, but adding Chicago as a 4th team:

Celtics probably have to give something more up here to Toronto...

Blake for me. We already have Drummond in TT. If we can get Blake via buyout, he becomes a great fit at the 4. He can shoot, has good vision and can set solid screens. He’s no longer a go to option but that’s why we have JT/JB/Kemba ahead of him in the scoring department.

I would take Drummond in a buyout deal and see if his size could make a difference in some matchups.

He could be better against say Embiid with the rest of the long Celtics defenders helping.  He may at least hold his spot to allow the double team to get there.

Then swing for the fences in the TPE, moving out Thompson to stay under the tax.

I'm torn here.  I've been on the Drummond bandwagon a bit, but also like Vuc and Jerami Grant as options too. I'm going to say, Drummond.  He's a double double machine and we still can use help on the boards.

I don't think it makes sense to give up assets, and certainly not significant cap space, for either.

Neither.

Drummond’s individual stats may look nice, but he’s not an efficient scorer and his rebounding is overrated. His defense is still good, though. Overall, he’s not a Brad guy so like all other true centers, he’d be lousy for us.

Griffin is toast. Not worth even kicking the tires on him.

I'd take Griffin on a buyout.  His passing would help the offense and he'd be 4th option for scoring.

Either on buy-outs, but I would think BKN scoops them up first, especially Drummond.

Drummond's Real +/- is behind DT by a lot BTW.

There's an interesting recent quote from an nba scout about Drummond- "He can get 30 and 20 and have no impact on the game."

Blake as a buyout would be such an incredible boost to the Celtics.

Yes, Blake hasn't looked good. I am attributing a lot of that to the incompetence of Dwayne Casey and the Pistons' system. Blake would be a great addition at the four in our lineup around Walker/Brown/Tatum/Griffin/Theis.

He still has talent left in the tank. He just needs the right place to do it in.

Blake is playing 31 mpg for a bad team and averaging 12 ppg. He is 31% from three.

In Boston he'd get what? 22 mpg?

Even if they get him for free, is he that much better than our current bigs? Better than Grant, but Blake can't move and Grant can, so maybe not better than Grant and Grant hasn't looked like much this season.

I hope he saved some of the money KIA paid him for jumping over the car. I don't see him jumping over a whole bunch of cars anytime soon....maybe a scooter or something.
