Lol! I don't disagree. I started the thread just to speculate where he might end up, not to envision the broken down version of Blake on the Celtics.

If he really wants out, he should just give up the players option and let them buy him out for the rest of this year.  I think the Pistons would do that to be rid of that massive salary next year.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

He could be the broken down bookend to when we had Dominic!

If he declined his player option and gets bought out I would actually take a look at him. He's toasted, totally, but we are dying for some high-post play-making.

Otherwise, I could see him going to Phoenix and reuniting with CP3

Did they ever reconcile? I thought Blake hated Paul .. and Paul doubted Blake’s BBIQ

I think I would do Blake for kemba if they gave us a 1st round draft pick of decent young player.  1 less year of kemba's deal.  Maybe blake and bey for kemba and a second...something like that.

There is a 0% chance the Pistons trade Bey.

I’ve got no idea, just think Blake starting ahead of Kaminsky would be a good move for both.

Could see him going to Brooklyn and making them even worse defensively!

If he’s cheap, how could he hurt this current roster of stiffs we have?    Honestly tho,  he seems just to be playing out the contract

I dont see any way he could turn down the player option of 40! Million.   Thats just too much money.  Wow.

I don’t know what would have to happen to get him in Boston but I actually think he’d slot in nicely as a guy with size who can shoot now (or can he?).

He’d be the 4th or 5th best player on the team which is pretty good.

I wouldn't mind taking a flyer for the minimum, but where is the idea coming from that this is our big that can shoot? He's a career 33% 3PT and 70% FT shooter who hasn't been able to hit a shot in 2 years (36% FG). If anything, I like that he can pass and might look better on a new team coming off the bench against backups.

I cant really see any realistic trade partners for Detroit.
The closest to a realistic trade I could come up with is:
Detroit:
out - Blake, Doumboya, Delon Wright
in - Will Barton, G. Harris, Aminu

Orlando:
out - Fournier, Gordon, Aminu
in - Blake, Doumboya, Delon Wright + Denver's FRP(s)

Denver:
out - Will Barton, G. Harris + FRP(s)
in - Fournier, Gordon

Magic get a decent point guard as they have none healthy and reliable plus some picks for their leaving players but matching salary is a bit high for next year.
Detroit saves a little $$ plus they might trade the incoming players for something.
Denver gets a good shooter (that they developed) plus a great defender to throw at Lebron but at the cost of multiple picks?? .....
