Apparently Toronto is thinking of trading him.

I doubt they’d trade within the division, but who knows?  Is there any framework for a 3-way where another team takes on Kemba and we grab Lowry?

Do we want Lowry?

How much has he left in the tank? Is Kemba not a better bet 2-3 years from now?

At this point you might as well say anyone... why the heck are we thinking of players who won’t put us in a better position??? Swapping Kemba is like a lateral movement lol...

I imagine they’re seeking picks and a young big. Maybe we would trade Kemba to a third team and RWIII plus picks to them?

I’d prefer just keeping Kemba to be honest.

I guess it depends on how much Lowry gets in free agency.  Since the all-star game last year, Kemba has regressed to the point where Lowry is better offensively (as well as defensively, obviously).

At this point, just getting out of Kemba’s contract is appealing.

Genuine question: Would getting out of Kemba's contract do much for the Celtics' cap situation at this point? Next season they'll have two max (or close to the max in Brown's case) guys and a roster to round out. If we're trading Kemba we'll probably want to trade for a guy we have under our control for at least a couple more seasons.

We also have the large TPE, so presumably that'll add even more payroll to our roster soon. Regardless of whether Kemba's kept or not.

I think he would be a better fit than Kemba. But why would Toronto want to take on walkers $35m/year contract when Lowry is a FA after this year. also, would the Celtics want to keep Lowry(35) after this season or hand the starting PG spot over to Pritchard?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Would love Lowry....we'd get more Replays and free throws cause of all the whining he does.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

This. I don’t think the C’s should trade him for an expiring contract unless they are planning on keeping that player for 2-3 years min. A 37/38 year old Lowry is not appealing.
