Timelord still has no idea where to be on defense. For all his athletic gifts, he just doesn’t have the basket iq.

I'm not seeing that.
He literally doesn’t understand how to play pick n rolls. Was a huge issue in the playoffs vs Toronto last year for example. Same issues showing still tonight.

That being said, I’m not against playing Timelord. Just don’t think he’s the answer for the Cs starting big man spot.

Celtics FG 47.7% 3PT 41.7%
Lakers FG 45.5% 3PT 30.8%

Benches
Celtics 38 minutes 4 points
Lakers 45 minutes 19 points

Celtics defense looks ok so far. Robert has been a star at both ends.

Genuine question - when Brown goes invisible for stretches - is that because the team isn’t looking for him or because he becomes passive? Team looks so good when he’s consistently engaged on offense.

It’s how the offense is designed. We play a heavy 2-man game. So if he’s not getting the ball or getting the catch, there’s a lot of standing in the corner or to use the more popular term, “being invisible”, while the ball handler creates.

But CBS has to work with his personnel too. It’s not like we have shooters whose off ball cuts can make defenses shift (people like Klay, Duncan Robinson, Korver, Redick have this “gravity” that makes defenses react even when they don’t have the ball)

I'm not, either. Outside of the rushed outlet pass that was a turnover he's played really well. Knocking the ball into his own basket is just freakish bad luck. He's in there battling with aggressive rebounders like Harrell and taller guys like AD and at least pulling down more than his fair share . . . unlike our other 'bigs'

rewatch that last drive by Lebron.  Timelord in no man's land on D

Yup. I saw some other plays where he was in good position and made a good play. I see a young big man with a ton of talent and a good BBIQ. Is he out of position sometimes? Yes he is. So is Jaylen Brown, Tatum, Smart and every other player on our team. It happens. What Tristan Thompson doing tonight? Is he at a movie or home watching the game?

How can Lebron be so quick at his age and size?

If Lebron is not doing it the right way..

that's between him and the Most High

Thompson and Teague additions looking like nothing right now. Tatum, Brown, and RWIII's development is our best bet boys. Buckle up!!

Yup! And that’s with a lot of seconds of nothing happening. Just lebron dribbling out the clock before making his move. Just poor IQ and bad communication between Brown and Timelord

Id trade both as soon as it was allowable.

You'd have to add picks just to dump them at this point.

Nesmith needs to make Kuzma his goal.

Brad should make it a three guard rotation with Brown, Smart and Kemba.

4 pts from your lousy bench Danny.  You realize this team has zero chance of winning anything as long as it continues to stink? Waiting for young guys to grow into consistent rotation players won't work despite what you keep telling yourself.

In fairness, I’m not sure anyone expected Jeff Teague to look like the worst player in the league 😂
