I’ve watched a few of their games and he just looks like he’s throwing in the towel. Doesn’t seem to be trying on either end of the court at this point. Physically, he’s put on weight and is clearly out of shape. Last 5 games he’s averaging only 17ppg while shooting 37% from the field and 25% from 3pt.

“After Houston's 117-100 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, star James Harden said the Rockets "just aren't good enough." "I love this city. I literally have done everything that I can. I mean, this situation is crazy. It's something that I don't think can be fixed.”

He might as well just stay home like Kyrie. I can’t believe people want him on the Celtics. Hard pass....

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

You wouldn’t be happy with a trade of Kemba Walker and change for him right now? We’ve watched A) How offenses could do virtually anything against Kemba in the playoffs last year and B) How this team has played without Kemba.

This is a superstar league. He is a superstar. Culture matters. Stop it. Championships matter.

They can have Smart with him, as long as the Celtics get a superstar back in return

I’m probably becoming a less and less ardent supporter of trading for Harden (mainly because of the ascension of JT & JB), and would rather try and build around them - they’re locked in for long contracts, and have no personality issues.

Kemba could probably fetch some elite role players in a trade. Some deal with Dallas or Denver could be intriguing.

So I’m not too sure about pursuing a Harden deal, considering our ideal trade package probably doesn’t match up well with Houston’s.

I'd love to figure out a way to get Jonathan Isaac out of Orlando.  I'd love to pair him with Tatum and Brown.

I’ve loved Isaac since he was a college player, but I think sadly Orlando love him too :(

I still think that a team with Harden as its offensive centrepiece next to 4 strong defenders who can provide extra value on offence has a really good shot at winning the title. I would wait until the offseason before I make a move though, I think we should wait for Tatum's poison pill provision to expire so we can have more options in a Harden trade.

Slouching towards what you want (a trade) is not a good look.

I'd rather trade for John Collins, fill out the bench and let the young core develop together.

Tatum and Brown fit the bill on the defensive side of the ball, but they need the ball in their hands in order to maximize their effectiveness on offense. Harden is hands down the most ball dominant player in the NBA. If we trade for him, Tatum and Brown can no longer reach their full potential.

Imo, he won't be on the market by then. I expect the Rockets to trade him this season.

I'd never trade Tatum for Harden. My proposal would be a 3-way around Kemba. I guess the Rockets can find better offers. Fine by me.

Want zero part of this clown. He’s been given control of the Rockets, sabotaged them year after year, has gotten 100s of millions of dollars from them, and is now again intentionally sabotaging their season and future.

Stays away from the Celtic culture and locker room James.

I'm totally out on Harden. We had the Irving experience and that was enough for me. I agree the plan moving forward needs to be Tatum and Brown centered. A foundation build on two elite young 2-way wings is about as solid as a team can ask for. Now DA needs to figure out their ideal complimentary pieces and I highly doubt that equation includes the likes of James Harden.
