I feel for this kid. He was just starting to carve out a place for himself in the league.

Sucks because he seems like a nice guy who has has struggles and were overcoming them. It looked like a nice redemption story. Hope he comes back to full form

That's been terrible luck for that team with injuries. Send them Kemba oh wait Kemba has a condition and that is basically now forever injured lol.

That is too bad. Definitely signed that extension at the right time.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Sucks. Kid was finally gaining confidence and turning heads. Huge sympathies.

The number of injuries so early in the year is concerning. Fingers crossed the trend slows.

Such a shame. He was finally starting to look like he belonged and might have had a breakout year.

It really sucks for Fultz and I feel horrible for him.  But I really don't see evidence that he was improving.  He was playing more games and getting more minutes but his field goal percentage and 3 point percentage were at career low levels.  I think he showed the same flashes of potential in the games that he played in his first year.

Wow, feel sorry for him after it seems he started to turn the corner

Agreed - I do not see this turning the corner narrative that is being pushed on us. Fultz plays on a team with terrible PGs and is force-fed big minutes that he would get hardly anywhere else because he simply is not good enough to warrant them. He is a mediocre backup PG and the type of backup PG that most contenders would not be interested in due to his lack of shooting.

Orlando badly misread the situation and hugely overpaid him this summer.

Fultz has to develop that outside shot to an adequate level to get anywhere near starting guard level of play.

Depends with what you compare his production this year to. .....

Compared to last season he is certainly not better but 15months ago most didn't even believe he'll stay in the NBA.

He is massively overpayed though. 16m ?!?!??! Hat off to his agent

Feel bad for this kid. But at least he just got his money so he can rehab without added financial pressure.

Sad that so many guys seem to be going down with serious injuries to start the year.

But this is probably a little effect of not having a true preseason and kind of just jumping right into things.

Really unfortunate for him.

Though this may push Orlando quickly into the sellers market.
