I know Harden is all the rage, but what about Brad Beal? He’s really close with Tatum, is unhappy in Washington (first time in living memory that he skipped media postgame) and is a stud guard.

I feel like if we incorporate a third team to take Kemba (Clippers, Knicks, other) he’d be gettable.

Anyone think he’d be a good target?
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)

SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

It is a no brainer. Beal all fits better to this team.

It would cost imho significantly more than just Kemba (Smart ??? )

It depends on how much the Washington situation with Beal deteriorates (they are 0-4 after all), and how much a third team would be willing to offer for Kemba. I think offering guys like Langford + Timelord alongside whatever a third team offers could tempt Washington given how many of their prospects are flops

I think Beal is great.  What a professional bucket getter he is.  I think he'd add to the team and not subtract from the Jay's like Harden would.  I would give up Kemba to a 3rd team, I'm just not sure about the point guard situation.  I guess we could start Smart and we'd be pretty beastly.  Seems like we'd still be lacking a little bit of playmaking and creating for others but I think I'd pull the trigger on this trade.

I’m not sure why you think Romeo and Timelord have trade value ...
Given the rise of Pritchard they will definitely want him and then you start adding first round picks

True.... Pritchard today looks more attractive than Romeo and RW3(i still remember the daily updates about him from his fan club)

Not hot on him defensively - don't see us winning a championship with him and Kemba in the same backcourt unless we get an amazing defensive anchor alongside Brown and Tatum in the frontcourt.

What team wants Kemba thay would offer something Washington actually wants?
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I'm not sure what the trade plan would really be. We can technically do a deal w/o Kemba if you do Smart, Theis, Langford, and Green, but that would kill our depth. And I don't see a deal occurring with Kemba due to his injury concerns.

Personally, I really like Kemba and think he will add quite a lot to this team - as much as Beal - once he returns, but his trade value is probably not great atm. I just don't think we can even consider a Kemba deal until he gets back on the court and shows that he is at least 90% of his previous All-Star form. Brad's 'not any time soon' comments about Kemba's return aren't promising, though.

Really dependent on how invested Washington is in Russ. If they want to try and actually build around him LAC could have pieces (PBev, Lou Williams, Zubac).

I dunno. Just want Beal here!

It could workout via a 3 way trade.. something like this

-To Bulls: Walker, Moritz Wagner

-To Wizards: Porter Jr. , Gafford, Langford, Nesmith, 2 Bulls 1sts,  2 Celtics 1sts

-To Celtics: Beal, Gill

Something like this

If I read this right, people are suggesting Kemba, Smart, and PP for Beal?  Who the heck is playing PG?  No, If we send Kemba and Smart, plus others, that's fine, but PP stays and becomes the PG.

No.  He skipped media day on his team?  Clearly a selfish head case.  Pass.  Let’s keep developing smart. /sarcasm ;D

If that’s the offer I bet we are getting Westbrook back lol... it could work actually but we need to preserve our draft picks so we can dump Westbrook’s contract next year

Would love to get Beal but tough to see it happening.
