Tatum really needs lessons in getting basket through contact.

Pritchard is  THE REAL THING.

39 points given up in the 3rd. Ugh
And they are not just lucky 3 pointers but points in the paint. Terrible team effort and execution.

McDermott keeps getting to the rim like it’s warmups. Who keeps blowing their assignment?
I think it'd be fair to say ... everyone

I agree, we need more playmaking in the starting unit.

Brad Stevens is a nice person but he has the mindset of an assistant coach, that's the problem. Rajon Rondo would be a terrific coach to take decisions, make adjustments under pressure and read games one step ahead.
Rook, I am the best f*cking shooter in the league. In the league, understand? And you’re up here trying to f*cking tell me something?

More shooting too. Look how many open looks Smart gets. Imagine Pritchard getting those looks.

I really like his passing also

He and GWilliams have a nice connection

that is why he makes the big bucks I can ejoy the game without breaking down what the other team is doing, but IF there is a pattern of a team getting run over every 3rd quarter after playing well in the frst half there is a strong probability that they are not adjusting to the other team's adjustments or energy.

if you can't point to specific adjustments brad could have made why are you so confident that it's the coach and not the players?

the same players that played well in the first half? It could be but that is for the coach to fix. If they are tired then you get them t obe more fit. If they come out lethargic get them to play with more energy.. It is ultimately a coahing issue because the players have displayed their ability in the forst half.

To be honest with you I don't think it's as simple as either players or coach -- it's both.

What the bad third quarters say to me is that the other team is consistently figuring out how to break down this Celts' defense and stymie the Celts offense by the time the third quarter comes around.

I think that's an indictment of the system the team is running, but it's also a commentary on the lack of talent that the coaching staff is working with.

The Celts present problems that other teams are finding ways to solve.  Great teams present unsolvable problems.

and who is responsible for the system? The coach or the players? It is a coaching issue. Almost all games have halftime adjustments. Adjusting is a coaches job.

To me it's just too easy to use the coach as a catch-all scapegoat if you can't articulate specific things that should be done differently.

Sometimes the problem is easy to identify.. Your explanation of the problem points directly to the coach.

Pritchard is getting the hang of it. He still doesn't have much of a plan underneath, but, he's somewhat ok on defense and he can shoot...

Dougie was coming out to the perimeter to cover him this quarter.

BTW, Teague should shoot more...two or three fewer J's iso moves and some more passing.
