Jayson Tatum draws three defenders, and you can tell it never enters his mind to pass the ball. Until this changes there’s a ceiling on this team. He has to make plays.

Unreal that he read that situation and chose a baseline fadeaway as his option (one of the more difficult shots in basketball btw). Larry Bird, he ain't.

let Tatum play and take this as far as he can......

Even MJ didn’t start winning titles until he figured out how to make his teammates better.

Tatum is a long ways away from MJ....

I agree! I’m saying even if he was that good going solo isn’t going to cut it.

how will he learn if you do not give him the chance?

How's that a foul on Smart?

Lol and they have the audacity to call that a blocking foul on Smart? Let alone by the ref BEHIND the play? Idiots.

And why even try to review? Only half the time do they admit that they're wrong anyways.

To be honest, it's not this loss that upsets me, especially since it's only game #2.

But the 3rd quarter struggles, lack of bench scoring, Tatum disappearing for stretches, blowing leads very quickly, most of it is still happening. PTSD from last season and especially the playoffs. Can't expect Teague to put up like 19 every game.

We need more from JT.  And I am not talking scoring

Right now Brown is the better overall player between the J's thus far in the first two games.

His ability to get to the rim with strength and power definitely helps him get more efficient shots than Tatum at time. Tatum does have limited foot speed and still struggles against physicality so I think that will limit him in the long run.

Tatum as far as I can tell, has a green light whenever he wants. He had 28 shots last game and a usage rate of 39%. He doesn’t lack for opportunities. I’d like to see him try making plays and moving the ball to create good shots more often.

Celts were constantly attacking the basket during 1st half - then Brad's adjustments turned them into a bad jump shooting selection team.
