A question for the moderators...can you suspend or ban any forum member that votes for the Lakers in this poll?

And if you couldn't tell from above, I'll take the Nets.

I would never EVER root for COVID to cause the season to be cancelled.

Never.

Ever.

Would definitely not do that, even in this circumstance you describe.

Nope.

Definitely not a thought that crossed my mind.

I get the dislike for Durant and Kyrie, but it still surprises me that anyone voted for the Lakers. They are the enemy of enemies to the Celtics.

Not sure if you rushed making the poll but I can't seem to select "asteroid strikes the planet, mass extinction ensues", which is my preferred choice.

What would you rather have...root canal or getting hit in the face by a Tyson punch? :)

I choose to avoid poison at all costs.

And before everyone is anointing the Nets as the best team ever, lets see if they stay healthy for an entire season.

Kyrie has always needed a true alpha dog as his captain..that much is apparent. He excels with someone like a Durant or Lebron for sure. This does not guarantee that they will both be healthy after their serious injuries from before. Time will tell.

agreed, that should be the obvious third option.

failing that, take the Nets.  Kyrie and Durant are just temporary to the Nets franchise.  Laker hatred runs deep to the core.  Never vote for a Laker win of anything, including preseason games.

in theory, the Tyson punch would knock out any teeth where you need the root canal, so .... problem solved right there

They both represent the new trend in top players engineering their own super teams, which has the potential to ruin the league

With the Lakers, there is traditional hatred involved

With the Nets, there is the added risk that winning might empower top players to behave in additional ways that has the potential to ruin the league

Much as it pains me, I'd pick the Lakers if I was forced to choose.

I am pretty close to indifferent with regard to all but 2 NBA franchises: Celtics and Lakers.  If the Nets win that means that the Lakers didn't.  That will be fine.

I actually like Kyrie,KD and Nets, and hate Lakers and Lebron. I am so glad to see there are teams that can beat Lakers this year and prevent them from winning 18. ring. I really enjoyed Clippers win last night.
