I would gladly add Lonzo Ball if the Pelicans aren’t planning for him in there future. He plays defense and his shot is coming along. I wasn’t a big fan of him when he was with the Lakers ( I’m never a big fan of any Laker...) but he is a useful player who can pass and defend at a high level. He would be a good pick up if the price is right.

Hear his father is trying to get all his sons playing together on the same team down in Charlotte.

Not a terrible idea. Lonzo can’t defend but neither can kemba. but lonzo has length and tools to be taught to be at least passable hopefully. At worst,  Smart and brown can hide his perimeter D. But his play making ability is worth it

The only issue with lonzo is his family. Dad is a nut case but he has calmed down in recent years. The other issue no one talks about is that I think lonzo (or his dads wish) eventually will want to play with his brother . But that is likely later in his career but you never know

Erm, Lonzo is quite a strong defender actually. His time alongside Jrue has shown that - able to both cover 1s and 2s well.

Lonzo is a very good defender and an excellent passer. If his shot was better he would’ve already signed a contract. I like him way better than Fultz.

Maybe great is strong but I think their were even articles written that he didn’t receive any votes for all defense ( meaning it was debatable). He’s very good at that part off hoop.

I’ll admit I haven’t watched lonzo since his rookie year so I don’t know how well his defense is these days lol.

The Celtics have enough guys who can't shoot already.

If he can continue to shoot at the 37.5% from 3 he managed last year he'll have a place in the league for a long time.

Issue is his free throw shooting (Shaq-level bad) and his turnovers (higher TO% than notorious losers of the ball like Westbrook, Trae Young, Harden & Lavine)

I would picture him as a defender and player. Who could run the second unit at a high level. If his shot was better who couldn’t even think of picking him up at a reasonable rate of return.

Lonzo shot the 3 better than Smart, Wanamaker and Theis last year

He’d work better as a sixth man for us if the Pelicans don’t see him in there future.

Are you willing to pay him $20M a year for his next contract?
Since otherwise, what's the point?
