Looks like the reclamation project is going well

Fultz went from certain bust to making Marcus smart money

Nuts. Fultz still cannot make a jump-shot reliably. He needs to be wide wide wide open to have any confidence in him and even then it is only on low volume on lousy accuracy.

He is a backup quality PG. Orlando are way overpaying based on potential. They should be patient and make sure he can fulfill some of that potential before putting that much cash on the table. That is ridiculous.

Jeez, that is a lot of money too. Not awful but pricey.

Orlando have no future. Wasting their cap space to lock into being a .500 team.

Isaac could be worth that if he can stay healthy. I project him as a solid 13/8 guy with his ever-improving efficiency alongside his elite defence.

If he can stay healthy is a big if though

Pretty good outcome for him, given that Smart's a better shooter. HAH!

Orlando dishing out a ton of money to maintain mediocrity.

Gotta think they're gonna be sellers at some point this season.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

$70M guaranteed money in career earnings for Fultz plus potentially more. This is insane for a draft bust. You gotta love the nba lol

After several seasons of trade speculation, will this finally be the year the Magic move Aaron Gordon?

Didn’t he just tear his ACL? He won’t even play for at least a year. That seems like an over pay. The Magic are handing out a massive amount of cash for a team that won’t even make the playoffs this year.

I think they're going to move someone. I don't know if it's going to be Aaron Gordon, though I think they should since his best position is at PF and they just gave Issac a ton of money. But yeah, I expect Aaron or Fournier to be gone by the deadline. I can also see them moving Vuvecic in the offseason.

I don’t see magic moving Gordon for anything less than 3 first round picks. I might be wrong on that.
Fournier I think could be had for Romeo plus Carsen. I think that is a sensible deal for both franchises if there are no other ways to improve the roster this year without depleting our thinning assets collection.
Orlando are ready to move on from Fournier and would not be willing to pay the luxury tax to keep him. They would also love to get a young replacement for him. They might even salvage Carsens career just like they did with Fultz.
Another version of the trade might be Carsen, Green plus 3 second rounders (2 from the Bane trade). We would be just under the luxury tax.

Don't want to hijack this thread, but no one wants Carsen. He has yet to show he's even an NBA player.  Fultz at least has the pedigree of being the #1 overall pick, that gets you some grace. Fultz also has other NBA level skills besides shooting in passing and defense that justifies some sort of reclamation. Carsen is a shooter who can't shoot and gives you absolutely nothing else.

I'm not sure what the asking price is for Gordon. I know their fans over at SB nation want a young backcourt guy to pair with Fultz, so I'd offer Romeo, a 1st, and a 2nd. I actually wouldn't be opposed to 2 1sts if at least one of them as some protections.

Carsen is a salary dump as I think he has $$ guaranteed next season. green is a throw in and why not guaranteeing his salary this season as good gesture (but paid by the magic)
Romeo plus two top 10 protected picks sounds like a fair price for Gordon.... but that is not how Danny operates lol 😂
