Better than Lonzo
Lol. Chill.

Remember when Lonzo dropped 19/13/12/3/3 in his rookie season in a real game against Milwaukee? Exactly. Reacting to one game, let alone a preseason game, in such a manner is silly

Triboy didn't make a crazy statement, I mean Pritchard is getting compared to some great players... that's silly.  Lonzo is an average starting NBA point guard right now.

I think Lamelo does look like he'll be better than Lonzo.  Same great feel for the game with a better body- a little bigger and stronger, a little more explosive and aggressive in the paint.  Same horrendous looking shot also.  He looks like an excellent looking prospect to me.  The IQ is pretty much off the charts for a kid that age.  If he can learn to shoot, just WOW!

Oh, can I play this game too.

Remember when Payton Pritchard dropped 16/2/4 with 60/33/100 shooting splits

Other than some behind the back passing what makes his BBIQ off the charts? I've watched a ton of Melo through the years and he looks like a kid who's played with older brothers running and gunning. I personally think NBA fans put too much stock in guys who look amazing in fast break open court situations. Both Balls struggle heavily in the half court and that's where I question how high their BBIQs are.
ok fine

I don't think he's better than Lonzo at all until he actually shows anything in a competitive NBA game. It's crazy to say that LaMelo is already better than him given that Lonzo is a better shooter and defender than LaMelo. LaMelo bight be longer, but he is not stronger at all and is definitely not more explosive. You're really underselling Lonzo's athleticism, and I am pretty down on the Ball family. Pretty sure Lonzo had a 40" vertical! Check out these dunks - note that after injuries in LA he's started to hold back on dunks.

If he can learn to shoot... Feel like I've heard those words a lot about tall playmaking guards in the last decade.

Exactly. It's not like they're Doncic or Trae Young - almost all their lauded passes are flashy fast-break passes.

If they were like Magic and balanced that with elite half-court running then sure, go ahead and talk about them all you want. But none of the Ball brothers do

None of those strike me as preposterous. To me its more about what tier of player your in, and to me Tatum is somewhere in that 10-20 Tier with the potential for upward mobility. Personally i'd have him more 12-15 but the 10-20 range is all pretty similar level of player.

I'd have Kemba where he is in SI based of pure talent in a vacuum, but probably closer to his ESPN rank in terms of actual on court production this year given the knee issue.
