I assume Harden would cost Brown and maybe Smart.  I would rather see the Celtics contend (even if they come up short) for the next half dozen seasons with “our guys”.

Yes on Harden if you keep Brown and Tatum on the team. I'm okay with Smart and Walker in a package to land him.

 I’d much rather Ben Simmons here in like a 3 team deal. I’d give Kemba/ smart picks easy. Jaylen will never approach Harden’s talent but Jaylen should have been in the all star game over Tatum. Some people want to criticize Jaylen for saying 5 or 6 titles but I would have told that particular reporter 20 titles. Ha. One interview.
  Jaylen got his head on straight. Never talked about how many points he expected to average even though he was much more efficient. Never complained. I think this makes him even more valuable. I’ve flip flopped on this one . I figured Harden / Tatum brings a third star but I’ve lost some confidence in that.
 Harden holding out and acting like a jerk. After Kyrie I’m good.
  I’d consider a guy like Devin Booker instead I’d he was a guy available. Not as good As Harden but a better dude.

Assuming the price would be Brown, I really don't love a Walker/Harden/Tatum trio. All great players, but not very complimentary, IMO.

Look at virtually every great team in NBA history:

60's Celtics

80's Celtics

80's Lakers

90's Bulls

90's Rockets

2000-2002 Lakers

1999-2006, 2014 Spurs

2012-2013 Heat

2015-2018 Warriors

They were all lead or co-lead by a guy that was drafted there.

So as the power has shifted and a LeBron or Durant can engineer a title by playing out their freedom of choice carefully, what is in it for the fans of that city? I guess it's fun but not the same as drafting someone and having them become great. So is the sport going to become less fun? I think so.

Let's face it. It just feels better if we won a title with Tatum and Brown. It mattered that Pierce was there for the last one. That is more fun to root for. By a mile.

Brown/Smart would have to be the deal for an MVP caliber player like Harden. Might be too rich for the Cs to give up. Not sure how Kemba/Harden/Tatum would look. Defense would take a big step back.

I like Harden’s game more than most. But I am quite afraid that he’d leave us in free agency, given a) he declined a 2/100 extension and b) we’ve just seen Hayward and Horford do similarly. 

I’d rather trade Kemba for something slightly lesser than Harden if we look good without Kemba to start the year and we decide to go down that path

I voted yes because I want the Cs o win in this superstar dominated league.  You need a superstar, and the Cs do not have one YET.
