Poor trade for the Celtics.

If I'm the Celts, I wouldn't trade Theis and R Williams for Korkmaz and Embiid. Never mind Jaylen Brown on top of it.

Embiid is a 26 year old 7-footer who can put us 25 pts and 12 rebs.  I don't get why people are so down on him.  In fact, I think Houston would likely just take Embiid and the others over taking Brown et al. from the Celtics.

In terms of a trade based on Embiid for Brown, I think the Celtics would do that.  I don't love giving up Brown and Embiid has durability issues but 7-footers with his skill are a lot more rare and harder to get than good wings.

I agree that Embiid would be a great asset for the Celtics. I just think that giving up Brown, Theis and R Williams is way too much to give up to acquire him.

If Danny says no to a trade idea like this, then ownership should fire him immediately.

Lets adjust this trade:

Celtics: Ben Simmons
Sixers: James Harden, Eric Gordon
Rockets: Jaylen Brown, Tobias Harris

Looking at the original trade, I don't see how Simmons and Harden can play together.

I wouldn't do a trade for Embiid either. I would love to see Simmons on this team, but the difference between Brown and Simmons is fairly neglible at this point, which means trading one for the other probably doesn't make a ton of sense.

If it could be done with Walker, young players and whatever draft picks and swaps, I'm on board (even though I love Kemba). A core of Simmons-Tatum-Brown would be unstoppable. Those guys would magnify one another's strengths and be a ton of fun to watch. If you throw Smart and Ojeleye/Grant Williams into that lineup, I'm not sure any team would ever score on the Celtics.

Embiid and TT would definitely control the boards most of our games.

The last 6 titles of LAL were anchored on 3 bigs - Shaq, Pau and AD.

I would take on the gamble.

Terrible. I want zero part of Embiid.

Plus, Seth Curry can't be traded yet.

And this is why danny screwed the pooch the past 3 years.  There is no way to add to this team significantly without including Brown.
