Looks like Lebron might be trying to get AD to sign that 5 year contract by extending for 2 more year.  Signed through 2023.  The same year his son is set to graduate high school so leaving the option to play with him open.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Lakers took themselves out of the Giannis sweepstakes.
I think it’s down to Dallas and bucks to sign him next year ... but we can clear cap space if Danny thinks Kemba is not going to be able to play championship level ball

Smart move by Lebron. Betting on his team and himself. Lakers are going to be formidable for the next several years, barring injury.

Boston has a large greek community

I feel like the Celtics do have an outside chance to obtain Giannis

Giannis, Brown, Tatum should do the trick

If that’s the criteria then Houston will be in the Giannis sweepstakes too. He can be the official spokesman of the Pappas restaurant group.

How about sign and trade for Harden or Westbrook?  Or a trade and sign (wink wink) like the KG trade.

Is this the largest per year salary in NBA history?

Giannis wouldn't go there without Harden and I don't see why Milwaukee would want Westbrook, but I bet they could find a taker for him if they sweetened the pot as much as they could.  And maybe they could find a player that is appealing in some way to Milwaukee on a team that wouldn't mind Westbrook.  Not sure what that is necessarily, but even if Giannis leaves it isn't like Milwaukee would be terrible as they would still have Middleton and probably Holiday.  Would John Wall make sense?  Would Washington be ok swapping Westbrook for Wall, as an example.  Assuming Wall shows he is healthy this year and not a total shell of what he was, I think Wall would fit in really well with Middleton and Holiday as an example.  So Westbrook to Washington, Giannis to Houston, and Wall and a boatload of picks to Milwaukee.

That said, I absolutely believe Giannis is signing his extension and staying in Milwaukee at least another couple of seasons.

I don’t think so.  A handful of guys will make 47 million in a couple of years.

Hopefully it's a horrible deal by the time it ends because Father Time finally catches up with him.  Can't have the Lakers winning more titles.
