Perk liked the pick - a lot. He was gushing about the guy.

Pritchard is a tough little guard in the mold of Fred van vleet....
Very similar. Elite ability to separate with the dribble and score

Well I guess he is the brad wannamker replacement.

Apparently the pgs that are better than him and ones drafted before him that were moat likely obtainable had too hugh of a ceiling

So everyone here that was gaga about Tre Waters has now forgotten him because we have a newer, shinier toy to get excited about?  :police:

We have so many young players from last year and this year, I wonder who ends up with meaningful minutes. Surely some of them won't stick around.

I was honestly never that hyped about Waters.

Guys his size rarely work out in the NBA, and while he can play his talent is hardly transcendent.  Guy his size with only "decent" talent, future never looked too bright to me.  Figured he will probably be a backup PG for a sub .500 team or maybe a decent 3rd string PG for a quality team.  Don't see him becoming much more then that - hope im wrong.

Lot of folks here were very high on Waters all through last year.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I am here to tell you all.  This is one of the best picks in the draft.  I take it that many of you don't stay up to watch PAC12 basketball. It is not often that you can get a player at 26 that is as accomplished and has as many elite skills/traits that he has.

1.  He is easily one of the best shooting PGs in this draft.  His range is limitless.

2.  His handle is tight.  Super shifty and crafty with the ball in his hands and generates space to get shots off and make plays.

3.  Ultimate competitor and clutch as hell.

They say size is a detriment but he is 6'2 not 5'10.  I have watched alot of his games and he was very high on my board.  You will love him.  Just watch his highlights and you will quickly change your minds.

I agree. Had regrettably not watched much film of him, but did a quick deep dive when we picked him and I'm in on the pick. 6'2", a solid 200lbs, really durable, a slightly positive wingspan, and can do it all on offence. Great IQ, elite handle and proper 25-28 foot range on his jumpshot. The only real issues are his defensive foot-speed and his explosion, but in the 20s who cares! I think he'll replace Wanamaker immediately

Don't really see how this pick is like the Langford pick at all, as Pritchard and Langford are very different players at very different parts of their development.

One of his best game last season.  That range is deep.

I think by that he means he doesn't like it, because that is literally the only similarity

I really struggle to see the similarities

Langford was a great prospect out of high school who needed to refine his game and jumper and increase defensive effort and focus to pair with his prototype 2/3 physical profile and natural scoring ability. He was young and relatively raw. His warts in college were hopefully explained by injury and horrible team construction at Indiana. He was on some level a project.

Pritchard is an older and experienced player who has no injury history. His jumper is already there and doesn’t need to be fixed. His warts are all tied to his physical profile. His effort level of defense is terrific but his physical abilities leave him a question there anyway. His iq feel for the game and jumper are basically unquestioned but is he the athlete and natural scorer necessary to succeed on the NBA level? He’s like the opposite of Langford on every level.

Ah okay. So it's the same level of criticism as "He looks like James Young"  ;D?

Welcome aboard! TP for the scouting report (and the optimism)! 8)

I've never watched him play. Not even in highlight videos. Is there a player he reminds you of? I saw some Fred VanVleet comps. Does this sound like an overly optimistic scenario to you?
