Danny is a great drafter when he has really high picks. He isn’t very good in the middle and lower as he was last year and as he is this year. Still baffled at picking Romeo last season.

It seem the C's were keyed on Herro until Miami did the typical Miami thing and drafted him.  I think Romeo is going to be a good player if he can stay healthy but man Herro would have looked so good in Celtic Green.

Clarke is the one that hurts for me(last year) DA passed on him 2x.

Okungwu is going to slip because he is hurt

Would have to think the target is wiseman or ball

Will this pick be for Boston or someone else?

Very likely such a pick would be to trade to another team.

This is my take as well and the more likely scenario over doing this to target a specific player to draft for the Celtics.

I do believe herro was the pick. But settling on Romeo was baffling. Kid was a major disappointment at Indiana. Was constantly hurt there. Still is hurt now. Was not a good shooter. Still is not a good shooter. He has James young written all over him. Was probably going to be there with the later pick they had.

Clark would have been so much better.

With Herro. The Celts would have went to the finals. And beat the Raptors in 5 or 6

One guy like that makes a difference

Ainge is clearly dangling Hayward to golden state for #2 and Wiggins, and possibly  trying to get the hornets to a bidding war.  If you're the warriors you think about that deeply because you won't get this opportunity again.

Thats a no brainer deal for the Warriors. I would toss in Timelord too if I am drafting Wiseman or Okongwu at 2.

Hayward resigneed and Timelord for Wiggins and 2.

Either flip wiggins to a 3rd team or let Brad raise his value and trade him later in the season. (I think Detroit, Knicks, Chicago and more would all be interested in wiggins)

Wiggins to Chicago for Porter Jr makes sense.
Wiggins to NYK for capspace and pick makes sense
Wiggins to Detroit for pick and snell makes sense.
Wiggins to the kings for Barnes and Bjelica makes sense
Magic
Thunder
Blazers
Grizzlies
Hornets
Pelicans

all could use a 20+ ppg scorer on their roster too.
'21 Historical Draft
PG: Kyle Lowry / Mookie Blaylock / Mark Jackson
SG: Reggie Miller / Jeff Hornacek / Nick Anderson
SF: George Gervin / George McGinnis / Kyle Korver
PF: Connie Hawkins / Serge Ibaka / Josh Smith
C: Clint Capela / Bill Laimbeer / Jusuf Nurkic

Wiggins' contract is just horrible.

Danny has to stop being cute and just randomly select 3 names... he may get lucky finally
All the wheeling and dealing he does on draft nights amounts to nothing in the end
tatum is nothing??? tough crowd here.

I think he is referring to when Danny doesn’t have those top 8 picks. When he has to pick middle to late rounds.

The question is if Ainge IS planning to flip the pick, for whom is this all for? What names are still available? Harden? And why wouldn't the Warriors trade for this person?

Do people really think that GS trades the #2 and Wiggins for Hayward?   My initial reaction is that this is a no-brainer for Boston and head-scratcher for GSW.  But what do I know.

I might be less down on Wiggins than most.  Sixth man scorer (wish he could shoot the 3 a bit better).  Definitely overpaid for the next 3 years (tradeable commodity in Year 3).  I don't know enough about how salary plays out with Tatum's max on the horizon, but Wiggins is a good scorer and is still young (25).

I'm not really seeing a downside to this trade, but don't see it happening.

The Warriors window to win is now, they don’t have time for a rookie to grow into a serviceable player.  Also incentive for them to get out of the Wiggins contract.  Gordon would fit in great as a third option.  Warriors might not be getting offers for other All Star level players for the pick that are willing to take on Wiggins
