Sources around the league believe there is a “verbal agreement” between the Nets and Rockets that would bring James Harden to Brooklyn, and create a superteam with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Quote
The Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets are nearing a deal to send James Harden to Brooklyn, according to multiple sources close to FOS.

The deal isn’t “official”, but sources say a deal is in place and the two teams had a “verbal agreement.” Harden declined a two-year, $103 million extension with the Rockets so he could force a trade to Brooklyn.

The Nets are like, "You can't have Durant or Kyrie. What else would it take?

The Rockets are like:

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

That would be a disaster I think.

Kyrie dribble for 7 seconds and pass to Harden,
Harden dribble for 7 seconds and pass to Durant
Durant dribble for 7 seconds and pass to someone who has 3 seconds to put up a shot.

Impressed they passed in 7 seconds.

So Houston would be getting a ton of draft picks expecting Durant is no longer the same and Irving implodes.

TP to darth_yoda for implying that...

Nets + Harden = NBA single season shot clock violation record

Yea I see it as a disaster also with the Nets..Durant coming back from an bad injury, Kyrie is an idiot, Harden with his no defense and doubt he can play with Kyrie..also no depth
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Cant see how this would work unless Dinwiddie is included. The guy that recruited Irving to join

Also would Dinwiddie and Levert as the central pieces be enough? Or Nets again will be without a 1st every other year for the next decade.  Just like what Ainge did to them ... they just recovered too lol

This would really sap any BKN depth.

They could beg for players like Mcgee to join cheap for the ride. Matter of fact I wouldnt be surprise to see McGee on that team next season

LMBO!  This team is going to implode.  There aren't enough shots in the world for these ego's.

Makes no sense, but if true -- one of the most obnoxious, easiest to hate teams in a long time.

I am genuinely dreading the notion that the league could be dominated by the Lakers and Nets for a few years, though.  Apocalyptic stuff.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

A trade for Harden between these two teams has to start with Jarrett Allen. Houston needs a center now that their small ball experiment failed.

I don't like watching Harden play, but I have to give him this, he is extremely durable. This may be a huge benefit to the Nets, because Kyrie is injury prone and will most likely miss games, and the team may want to bring back Durant slowly due to his injury.
