Timing of Robin opt out and Bucks trades is curious. Could he have done that to help the club and re-sign with them, or is that not necessary?

If we can’t get Baynes I’d be down with him.

As things stand right now, they are probably around $15M under the apron and they got 8 roster spots available.

I'm curious to see how they'll sign Bogdan on such a deal. Thought they were constrained by the Base Year Compensation rule.

I guess they somehow found a way to make the salaries work regardless(?).

I'm not 100% sure of the Kings' cap situation, but if they're under the cap after the trade then BYC doesn't apply. And if they're under the tax, they can take back 50% + $5 million (assuming Bogdan's salary is in the $13-38 million range, which seems like a safe bet lol)

Actually, I just did the math, and with Justin James included (he makes the min, so he counts as outgoing salary for the Kings but not incoming for the Bucks), the trade works as long as 1. the Kings stay under the tax (likely) and 2. Bogdanovich makes between $16.15 million and $18.34 million.  That seems about right.
I'm bitter.

Robin Lopez would be a good pickup for the Celtics, Lakers or Warriors. He could have a good role on any one of those teams who want legit size defensively to round out their team.

I'd like to have him here in Boston. He'd give the team something different. A legit 7 footer who can block shots. Some offensive skill - more than he gets credit for.
