That is your trade idea not a rumor, correct?   That seems like a lot to give up.

I will throw this in, if all it takes is Hayward and the 14th to get the 2nd pick, then take that and see if there is a team to take Wiggins for an extra pick.

Chad Ford has clarified that he was hearing that was the asking price not that the Knicks would be willing to pay that.

I continue to hear the Knicks are doing everything they can to move up — but the asking price to get in the Top 3 for a shot at LaMelo Ball may be too rich for their blood — Mitch Robinson, the No. 8 pick and either a future first rounder or RJ Barrett.  That’s a lot.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I agree, it is worth considering just the base trade that included Wiggins and #2 for Hayward and #14.  If we could get that done, that alone is pretty interesting and maybe not all that unrealistic.  GSW get better right away with Hayward over Wiggins, get out of the multiple years of Wiggins, and still can get a useful player with #14.

The #2 pick will likely get you Wiseman which is great.  I am not sure what to do with Wiggins.  It is a lot to pay for some scoring off the bench but that is something we need.  I think of Gerald Green who bounced around in a similar way for years but then in the end, did figure things out and became a reasonably useful player.  Wiggins is certainly better than Gerald Green already, and is only 25 years old.  Is it worth it to take the risk on him?

Yeah, Robinson, #8 in 2020 and a future Knicks first is a lot more than Hayward and #14 in 2020.  It does not say for sure that this includes taking on Wiggins but I don't see how it gets done otherwise.
