If it ever gets leaked that Ainge passed on turner and McDermott by playing hardball and that is the reason Hayward signed with Charlotte I absolutely feel he should be fired.

I have a feeling Hayward choose Charlotte because he was sick of waiting on Ainge and the Pacers to figure it out.

Sickening we get nothing out of this

Yep.

so any more reports on if this a S&T or not?  Sounds like there is confusion about that.

The way it was reported by Woj, certainly doesn't sound like S&T is on the table.

Naw. Bet you the standstill was GH wanting $$$

He had Hornets 120 in the bag. And wanted to see if Pacers could match. In addition salary match

Celts didnt want Turner and Lamb  or Mcdermott + McConnell.   I believe Gasper on this one. Celts wanted Warren

I'm not seeing any new reporting other than that Charlotte, as is, does not have room to offer the contract Hayward is reportedly signing so there are other shoes left to drop here.
They can waive and stretch batum or zeler

I think he officially usurped Mark Blount as the worst contract Ainge ever signed. We got absolutely nothing from him in 3 seasons. Yikes.

Would not surprise me 1 iota if he finds his way to Indiana in a few months.
Lol he played like an All-Star this year. What are you talking about?

It's also not like DA knew that Hayward was going to break his leg in half. The Blount comparison is completely unfounded.

Oh I’m not blaming it on Ainge (or Hayward, for that matter), I’m just saying “he played like an All-Star” for about 2.5 months out of 3 seasons, all whilst on a MAX contract. All other times he was either ineffective or injured.

It is what it is. He was a good get at the time. And then he ran out the door first chance he got, But looking back, it was an awful return on investment.

Time for Ainge to retire.

Because a free agent took insane money?

Boston can’t wait any longer to address the roster.

Before we know if Ainge was a asleep at the switch, let's see what happens over then next hours.  Likely that deals could have been on hold awaiting results of GH trade.  Remember the feeling last year when Kyrie left.  Despite how that turned out to be a blessing, there were some sad moments.  Then Kemba.

Wowzers. Yeah, that’s not a good deal at all and clearly something neither Boston or Indy (two more savvy orgs) were willing to do with his injury history. Good for Hayward and Charlotte, but this looks like the best option for all parties involved if it was really just about the money and being a big fish in a little pond for Hayward.

Now it will be interesting to see the haul we get back in a S&T.
