Signing 120m with the lowly Hornets... who likely are no playoff threat = greedy for $$$

He's also 30.  Probably his last chance to really cash in.   Professional athletes have much smaller windows that regular Joes to maximize earnings potential.  I don't blame him one big.

If it ever gets leaked that Ainge passed on turner and McDermott by playing hardball and that is the reason Hayward signed with Charlotte I absolutely feel he should be fired.

I have a feeling Hayward choose Charlotte because he was sick of waiting on Ainge and the Pacers to figure it out.

Yeah, I'll never fault a player for taking the best deal for himself but he's already made a hundred million dollars and his next contract was going to pay him, at a minimum, probably $80 mil. He's pretty secure.

Big question now is how Charlotte clears out $10m in salary going out to take in Hayward. S&T for Terry Rozier’s $18m or Cody Zeller’s $14m the easiest path. Could combine Malik Monk and Miles Bridges with a Martin bro as well. That would be a nice haul.
