If I am Danny Hayward gets dealt to Indiana ONLY for Turner AND Dipo or Brogdon

Dont give up that then no sign and trade.

F him.

We hold the leverage, he can go to NYK at less than he wanted to make.

Sounds like only a matter of times before he gets traded to Indy

This is lazy news looking for clicks.

It’s the off season and he’s from Indiana. His family just added a baby and his wife is living in the mansion that he just bought there. Of course he’s in Indiana.

That’s not “breaking all personal ties to Boston.” That’s spending time with your wife and family in the off season, which is only going to last a few weeks this year.

It is significant news, in that he moved his family there and enrolled his kids in school during the pandemic lockdowns. He had his mind made up a while ago.

Or he wanted his pregnant wife to be around family and have help.  Not every player has his family live in the city they play.

Still has a home outside Boston. And he likes to eat pasta in the north end.  He once went to old north church and took a tour. So not all ties broken.

I was going to say the same thing.… He lives in Indiana.  His wife and kids are there.  His parents and in-laws are there.  Why would he be hanging in Boston?

I 'm good as long as we get Turner ,  Gordon just always seemed to be a fifth wheel , after he got hurt , just killed the whole teams mojo , I was excited to see him and Kyrie play ....had things worked out different , no injuries and Kyrie was more content it coulda would a been awesome team.  His injuries just never allowed him to bond properly and establish himself as a leader ....when your always playing injured and on the mend.

He ll do better in Indy with less pressure and without TAtum and Brown dominating the team.

You are really angry at GH for doing exactly what a player with an option and UFA does. 3 parties in this.

I’m surprised by how this has played out.  Why did Gordo opt out without something firmly on the table?

I thought this would be a done deal by now.

I thought we would've done something by now.

I was sure last night that I'd wake up with news of a trade. I don't buy all this talk about Hayward's indecisiveness, he moved his whole family back to Indiana and enrolled his kids in school their back in March, he knows exactly what he wants. It has to be Ainge not happy with what the Pacers are offering thus far.

I didn't know what to expect of the Hayward situation. But I at least thought they'd have announced Tatum's extension by now or be linked to an FA. Its been weirdly lowkey for us so far.

Granted, this is day 2. Maybe I'm being inpatient.

Im not angry, just had enough of him and his drama.

He is trying to put boston over a barrell. We are losing out on free agents because this has not been resolved yet. Every hour longer it takes is potentially 1 less good free agent that we might have needed.

This is acting like he has all the leverage, he has zero.

Go to NYK who still has some capspace or get back some serious assets.

Sounds like he's made up his mind on the Pacers. Gordon's part is done here. He's not the Pacers GM. He's not negotiating the trade.

Eh.  A player only gets to free agency a limited number of times in their career.   They have to do what's best for them and their family.  TBH I think he wants to go back to Indiana.  That's his #1 goal right now, to go play back home.

I don't blame him.  These negotiations are going to be protracted because Indy will want to give up as little as possible.  Meanwhile Danny will want to get as much value back as  possible.  Because despite the injuries Hayward is still a former all-star and he would make the Pacers better.  The question ultimately is the compensation that we get for trading him to Indy who otherwise would not have the cap space to get him in straight up free agency.

It's possible that a deal all (or practically all) worked out and they've agreed for some reason to delay the announcement.  This is doubtful as a leak of some sort is inevitable.  But it's possible, for instance, that GMs want to touch base with outgoing players.  Maybe, if Oladipo is part of the deal, they have some contingency related to medical reports that they are awaiting.   I think it's more likely that they are still ironing out the players involved, but I suppose it's possible that it's further along than we are aware.

And Danny doesnt and should never take back Indianas trash just to appease Gordon.

Gordon wants Indiana
Gordon also wants 25 million dollars a season for the next 4 seasons
Gordon wants Boston to take Indianas garbage to make it happen.

No

Dipo and Turner for Hayward at 25  million.

Or

Gordon can sign in Indiana for the MLE or sign in NYK and get murdered by the press and have a miserable family life.

I can understand Indiana not wanting to give up Warren, but I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want to give up Olidipo when they have so many guards. Warren, Brogdon, and Lamb can all play the SG position with Aaron Holiday and McConnell at PG.

If they are adamant on keeping Oladipo would Turner and Lamb or Turner and Aaron Holiday be a fair enough trade?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

They reportedly don't want to give up Holliday either. Lamb is not enough imo.
