Why not get Sabonjs back? Do Indy value him highly?
Given he’s a 23 year-old All-Star being paid under $20m a year, he won’t be going anywhere.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I think Turner will have a career year if he comes to Boston in Brad’s system.

I agree. I could easily see him being an 16/8 guy with 2 blocks/triples a game.

If we can extract another impact player from Indiana (yes, Dipo or Warren), I’d be very happy with that return for Hayward.

I still do not understand why Hayward wants Indy? I can't wrap my head around any of this from a financial stand point either. What am I missing? He can't possibly be lined up for a $100/m + payday!?
ok fine

Hometown + probably looking at 4 years for $80-$90 million

It could be about family and home as much as basketball.

So Boston is in as good of a position here as possible.   Either Hayward resigns or the Pacers up their offer.

Yeah its looking like Hayward's options (NY and Atlanta) dried up and the Pacers dont have the cap space to sign him. If so, Ainge played this perfectly.

How does Dipo fit, rotation-wise and salary cap-wise? Especially with Tatum due for a big payday?

I sure hope Hayward is really open to staying in Boston. If the Indy trade falls apart, I wouldn’t want him playing without intensity, or worse, sign a one year deal somewhere out of spite.

It’s funny because the majority of people on the Pacers message boards don’t want Hayward.

For turner only they’ll settle but anything more or in addition turns their interest to no thanks

The longer this goes on the more chance there is he comes back to Boston.
