Is there anything to the rumor that Marcus Smart doesn't like playing with Jaylen Brown ? It seems he's very reluctant to pass the ball to JB instead shooting it himself, sometimes foolishly.

Where’d you see the rumor?

I think the locker room argument between the two led to a lot of assumptions by critics.

I do not believe there is any truth to that suspicion. They’ve known each other for 5+ years and are both competitors. I think they probably just but heads every now and then.

They’ve played Team USA together. There’s videos of them dancing together at a teammate’s wedding. I think they’re good.

I feel like this "rumour" is rehashed every few months just because they're different.

Smart is outspoken, and Jaylen ain't afraid to talk back.

Ask Kyrie.

I feel like this "rumour" is rehashed every few months just because they're different.

Here's a post I made on this the last time I saw it come up (during the playoffs).

Now I'm terrible at judging these type of things (I always thought Durant and Westbrook were close, so what do I know), but I'm pretty sure Jaylen and Smart are pretty close.

If you watch any of the Celtics off court videos, it's fairly common to see Brown and Smart goofing off together.  Seemingly more so than any other combination of players.

Here's some videos of the Celtics in game entertainment videos, do you see any other pairs of players together?

In this SLAM video, you see them goofing off together, but it also seems like Smart and Brown have the most rapport, IMO

Here's a bunch of videos of them practicing together:

And in this one they're arguing, but it looks like Gerald Green and the assistant are smiling, so I figure it's friendly banter

If I had to guess, I'd guess Smart and Brown are probably closest with each other on the team.  No way there's any animosity there.
