ESPN’s Jonathan Givony says the first of Boston’s three picks is being heavily discussed

“Picks belonging to the Sacramento Kings (No. 12), Boston Celtics (No. 14), Wolves (No. 17), Dallas Mavericks (No. 18), Brooklyn Nets (No. 19) and Miami Heat (No. 20) are the most prevalent in trade conversations lately, per sources,”

I hope the league starts to allow trades soon so we can have some action. This is gonna be one quick free agency period.

Celtics for example dont want to risk losing out on Achiuwa and trade 14, 26, Edwards for the 9th pick

Otherwise I see trader Danny trading down to try to obtain a future 1st

We should not be involved in this draft. Unfortunately every team in this league knows that.

So unless a team falls in love with a player I don't see these picks being trade chips.

We're going to actually draft players this year..... Yay more semi's and grant williams.... That's not a good thing people.

"Hey I heard the Celtics want to move their picks."

"Did you hear that from the Celtics or is that just floating around?"

"Well I never hear from anybody on the Celtics directly unless Danny calls me trying to get my best guys."

"Right.  But did you hear from other people who know?"

"I think it's just kinda known, like, they have to make a trade with those picks."

"Yeah they have way too many, no way they use all of them."

"You think it's possible to get Danny to give a pick or two for a great price?"

"No man, it's Danny Ainge.  He never trades unless he thinks he's fleecing you."

"Yeah."

"Yeah.  Alright talk to you later."

"Bye."

Man, I wished the Heat followed this advice, because we'd probably be in the finals instead of them.

I am happy with Grant Williams.   And Semi was a 2nd round pick so I am not all that disappointed with the production based on that.

A player on Grant Williams level at a different position of need is not a bad thing for the Celtics.   It improves the depth.   It just isn't the impact move we are hoping for.

Achiuwa very likely available at 14, and I'm not so sure he is being targeted by Celtics in any event. Sources? Or just because he did a workout?

Ahh I get it...yeah.

How often do you see what the heat did? They were the exception to the rule.

While I realize the celtics are a team that has to build through the draft because boston isn't LA. Now is not the time to see if rj hunter is going to pan out. We need established players that are great at one thing not these jack of all trades guys that can do a lot of things but aren't great at anything. It's how roles are defined.

Hopefully, we can trade away all of our picks. We should no longer be in the picks business at this point.

To that end, the Celtics have reportedly offered Hayward and #14 for Turner.

I’m solid in my theory we aren’t getting any rookies. It will be a blockbuster coming.

I don't think what the C's have to offer will allow them to be involved in a blockbuster.

I don't think they'll get both turner and holiday and even if they some how do I don't think those guys move the needle enough. Turner is better than what we have in the frontcourt but holiday is a lateral move at best.

Really going to include the spurs? They've done nothing since Tim duncan left.

The warriors maybe but they still had a mix of vets along the way...he'll,  Igudala won finals mvp.

Again these are all exceptions to the rule.

The 2017 Spurs squad that was a Kawhi Leonard injury away from beating one of the best teams of all time is nothing? Also Tim Duncan was drafted by the Spurs

A finals MVP that he did not deserve at all, also he was an FA acquisition that didn't cost the Warriors anything besides cap space. Iguodala was a complementary player to Curry/Klay/Draymond anyways (they are homegrown talents btw ;)).
