With the whatever pick it is due to my own stuff up, the Memphis Grizzlies select...

Mr Chicago Bulls, Jerry Sloan!
What happens if we draft a coach as well? He'd be playing for one team and he'd be coaching another team at the same time. :P
Oh, are we going to be doing a coaches round?!?!☹

That sucks! I built my team a certain way to run certain type offenses and defenses. Now I have to go find a coach that runs such a system? Not a fan.

Not necessarily! I put it up for consideration. Am personally not too concerned either way, so if the people against it have strong objections like you I think it’s best to not do it, considering it was thrust upon people by surprise.

I thought Jerry Sloan was a top 10 pick. I looked it up and he was drafted twice! Once in 1964 as the 19th overall pick and again in 1965 as the 4th overall pick. With the same team picking him each time - the Baltimore Bullets.

How do you get drafted twice? I have never seen that before.

So does the 1965 draft disqualify Sloan? If he didn't enter in 1964 and went back to school, isn't the 65 draft the pertinent one?

Drafted twice by the same team: Sloan had false starts at the University of Illinois and at Southern Illinois University, withdrawing from each school before he found a home at what then was known as Evansville College (University of Evansville since 1967). Sloan led the Purple Aces in scoring, rebounding and floor burns in winning back-to-back NCAA Division II championships, earning tournament MVP and second team all-America status both years.

Because of his transfer year, he was eligible for the 1964 NBA Draft and was chosen 19th overall by the Baltimore Bullets. After Sloan opted to return to college for his senior year, the Bullets drafted him again in 1965, No. 7 overall

It looks that way.

So then Sloan had one year in Baltimore and was drafted again - this time in an expansion draft by the Chicago Bulls. 3 times in 3 years!

Man that was a hectic / confusing 3 year start to his career.

Hm, I’d only looked at the initial draft, didn’t even realise he got redrafted (and then again in the expansion draft!)

Happy to go back and change my pick given his especially weird circumstances.

You gotta love Jerry Sloan.

Given the ineligibility of Jerry Sloan (what a funny career!), I’m back on the clock!

The Memphis Grizzlies select...

Paul Pressey!

Eh... did Gouki forget he drafts again today?  ???
Well, it's 4:56 AM in Melbourne. Chances are he went to sleep. Can't blame him!
True, but you'd think he give a draft board to someone so they can draft for him.
I’m up at my farm at the moment which is pretty out in the middle of nowhere and the power went out - my alarm didn’t go, phone died!

Won’t happen again everyone, sorry about that

Pfft.

Excuses. I think you should have to give up a future 2nd.
Top 55 protected? ;)

Seems fair

Kinda describes my style of play from back in the day.

For sloan, i say take the average of his 2 drafted spots.

19 and 7 would make and average of 13.

I say hes good.

I already deleted the pick. Given he didn’t play after his first selection it didn’t seem fair

I voted yes in the poll, but I don't really care either way tbh. Whatever you guys decide, I'm on board with it.

I'd love us to draft a full roster of 15 players though! Plenty of my binkies are still available on the board! Don't have enough picks for all of them!

If you do coaches, keep to the spirit of the draft:  no coaches in the top-10 of wins / winning percentage.
