BTW, I give a TP to every pick after it is made. Just a tradition of mine. So TPs everyone.

I'm still contemplating between two players or a potential trade.
Hmm interesting. This tells me that Moranis is perhaps not very high on the next players on the board?

well the 4 guys I thought should go in the top 4 have all gone in the top 4.
I had same top 4. Mine were:
1. Kobe
2. Giannis
3. Moses
4. Dr J.

I didn't want Kobe on my team and wanted my top guy to be someone that was a two way player that could handle the ball and create his own offense. So The Freak was my guy

One would have to assume this.

Draft certainly has more depth than high end talent, imo.

With the 5th pick the Toronto Raptors will select 2-time MVP Karl Malone.  The Mailman is 2nd all time in points scored, 8th all time in rebounds, 12th all time in steal, and 58th all time in assists so he provides a very nice balance.  In both his MVP seasons he was also 1st team all Defense.  And while he didn't win a title, he did lead 2 teams to the NBA Finals though fell short to Jordan's Bulls in each.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Is it too early to suggest doing this again with only top 10 picks? lol

Great pick. Was close to drafting him at 3 until the last minute.

Great pick.

I held a sliver of hope I would see him on my team. Malone was a beast.

Fun little fact...I created this game so I have commished it every time. This is the first one I haven't been the commissioner.

I think there was a clear top 4 and the next 2 I had very closely ranked, though a bit lower than the top 4.  After the top 6, there are about 5 or 6 players that I think are reasonably close together and become about preference.

That said, I'm perfectly fine with the Mailman.  In the first ever CB Historical draft in like 2010, I took the Mailman at the end of the 1st round (and followed it up with Lebron to start the 2nd round - and boy was that Lebron pick debated heavily) and it worked out pretty well for me.

I had one guy ahead of Karl. Let's see if he is next to go.

Think of this as a well earned vacation. Now you can see the game through the eyes of us ungrateful owners  ;).
