CP3 is 35 and his contract sucks, but he's still an elite floor general. High IQ guards/elite floor generals tend to have long careers in the NBA. Off the top of my head, guys like Nash, Kidd, Stockton, Manu, Andre Miller all played till their early 40s. A more recent example is Rondo. His style of play is a terrible fit in the modern game, yet he remains effective. CP3 was an All-Star this season and got selected in the All-NBA second team. It's totally possible that he still has a couple of All-NBA seasons left in the tank.

I was reading some random stuff online and I came across a list of players likely to change teams during the offseason: CP3, Jrue, Dipo, Myles Turner, DeRozan, Gallo, Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Bledsoe. If you ask me, CP3 is probably the best player available on the market right now. Honest question: Where do you think he will be playing next season? It seems that the Knicks, the Bucks and the Sixers are the 3 favorites to trade for him. A dark horse team may be the Suns. I've seen some reports linking them with CP3. The LA teams are also in the conversation by the media. I just don't see how they'll make the salaries work. I included the C's in the poll, cause why not? :P

edit: I added more options and I reset all vote counts to zero

Milwaukee Bucks.

Bledsoe is not great in the playoffs and they have the salary filler to make a deal.
They will recognize that Antetokounmpo as your fulltime primary playmaker isn't working in the halfcourt offense against top competition that specifically gameplans to slow him down.

@footey and BMark: why the Suns? Rubio is a good partnership with Booker in the backcourt.

I don't expect CP3 to go anywhere. That contract is too difficult to trade -- to match salaries with and make it worthwhile for both teams.

Knicks have plenty of players that they can move and I could see them trying to do something for a year to take some of the spotlight off the Nets.

I also think the Bucks could do something.  Maybe Paul, Muscala, Ferguson for Bledsoe, Lopez, Lopez, and Hill.  Risk for the Bucks, but they'd be the clear east favorites next year with Giannis, Middleton, and Paul at the top even with a lesser bench

No need for the Knicks to move any player. They can absorb CP3's contract via their cap space.

For instance, CP3 to the Knicks for cap relief + a pick or a prospect is a valid trade under the CBA.

Without getting into specific trade scenarios this comes down to making Booker happy.  It is true Rubio is a good partner to Booker but he can't elevate a young team like CP3 can.  Booker is most likely tired of playing for a lottery team.

I was playing around with the idea of sending Oubre, Rubio and filler to OKC for CP3

Hearing Kawhi is trying to recruit CP3 to the Clippers. That team could be title contenders with him onboard.

Sure, but they have no real way to acquire Paul.  OKC already owns all their draft picks and guys like Beverly and Williams do nothing for OKC.
