Dallas gets Hayward and Poirier
Playmaker, another scorer, outside shooting

Philly gets Hardaway Jr, Wright
Outside shooting and backup pg

Sas gets Horford and #21 from Philly, #30 from Boston and #31 from Dallas
Spurs get a center who they can run like Duncan did. Apparently they are interested in Horford there.

Boston gets Aldridge, Murray and #18
Boston trades the best asset and a pick but add a good young PG and a vet savy solid defending center for the year. Gain pick 18.

Draft Hampton at 14
Draft McDaniels or Bey at 18
Draft Riller at 26
Draft at 47

Kemba/Murray/Riller
Smart/Hampton
Brown/Romeo/Hinton
Tatum/GrantW/McDaniels
Aldridge/Theis/Timelord
'21 Historical Draft
PG: Kyle Lowry / Mookie Blaylock / Mark Jackson
SG: Reggie Miller / Jeff Hornacek / Nick Anderson
SF: George Gervin / George McGinnis / Kyle Korver
PF: Connie Hawkins / Serge Ibaka / Josh Smith
C: Clint Capela / Bill Laimbeer / Jusuf Nurkic

Yeah, a bunch of late 1st round picks and Horford on an albatross contract seems like an awful return on Aldridge and Murray.

Why is SAS trading Aldridge and Murray for Horford?

Insiders claim that Spurs want Horford. They know he is in a bad place, but his skill set fits Pops play style. He is very Duncan Esque with his ability to initiate and offense from the high post.

There are rumors and proposals starting to circulate. Bleacher Report stating that the 2 could deal.

This is from someone who apparently has an inside source (also has been right a number of times in the past)

San Antonio and Al Horford interest is real. They want him and they want someone who can run their system somewhat like TD used to do. Especially since its seen that DeRozan will opt out. This can open up PHI to expirings in LMA and Mills who could interest OKC for CP3 plus their draft assets that they have a lot of.

I am not sure on the Murray trade part, But I think they value WHite more than Murray. But I could be way off base on that.

It might make sense without Murray, but definitely does not with Murray.

An Aldridge for Horford swap makes sense for the Spurs if they are going to continue to try to compete. As bad as Horford looked this season Aldridge isn't any better.   At least Horford could theoretically still be a positive contributor in the right situation.

Including Murray does seem preposterous, though.

I just though Murray was expendable, especially for picks.

I do remember some proposals posted earlier in the offseason involving Murrray with the Celtics.

I think It was either Kemba plus a pick for Aldridge and Murray, or Hayward for Aldridge and murray. Cannot remember which.

Maybe can mix up the deal a little more and cut out Dallas

Hayward, Edwards and Horford to San Antonio

Aldridge and Murray to Boston

Gay, Mills and Poirier to Philly

*shrugs*?

Too much money for the Celtics to spend on a 35 year old big, in Aldridge. I like the thought of them picking up Murray, though.

Don't see SAS giving up on Murray. Young, athletic, defensive-minded, and contracted for below $20m a season for years to come. He's their future.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I have read that White is favored over Murray over there.

I really don't like the guys we're getting here. Our shooting will take a hit with this new roster.

I am not as opposed to Walker trades like others, but D.Murray and Aldridge aren't any better.
We should get a high lottery pick or a (potential) All Star back in a Walker trade or otherwise just keep rolling with Kemba.
Still hope that Hayward will resign with us instead of picking up his option.

Funny that you have Theis as a PF in your rotation. That's pretty old school, which I like.
The combo Theis/Kanter as a frontcourt could have been a problem for Toronto or Miami, unfortunately we never tried it.

I'd favor White over Murray. No contest. Not sure if Murray will be seen as a positive asset two years from now.

Is the insider from an NBA2k21 forum?

Because these don’t make a lot of sense.

Really? That would surprise me.

Murray is better at everything besides shooting and turnovers, is younger, and is locked up long-term. White will be a RFA soon and will likely be demanding big money given he'll be 27.
