We need to do something to move the team forward and JB has the attractive contract, the years, the young age, etc., so if we put him and 3-6 first-round picks on the trade block, who can we possibly get? Giannis? Is it possible Kawhi could demand a trade to the Celtics to become the foil to LeBron/AD? Harden want out? Booker want out? Maybe Mitchell demands a trade to a big market? KAT? Jaren Jackson, Jr.? Zion?

Let’s think outside of the box here, folks...

for that offer, what you'd get is a facial slap from every celtic fan that knows Jaylen's been our most consistent player in the playoffs and should not be moved

I’d rather just tweak the roster.  Tatum’s continued improvement is what’s going to take us over the top.

If people are fine with the Lakers overtaking our championship count, be happy with JB. Myself, I’m not happy with losing in the ECF and want to win it all. Trading JB and first rounders is the only ticket to do so next year. There’s no guarantee JB will grow into an all-star, let alone all-NBA. We have that guy in Tatum as soon as next year maybe. No guarantee JB is growing with him. I’d rather roll the dice on someone else, particularly if they complement Tatum better than JB ever could. Just skeptical that JB can be Tatum’s Pippen.

Smart and Hayward are the guys to move if you want to move forward not Brown or Tatum.

I'd shop Hayward + picks 26, 30, and 47
for
_____.

Keep 14th pick don't trade it.

Why would you want to trade our clear-cut second best player who will be an All-Star for years to come on a below max deal? Is this to do with your personal dislike of Brown because he speaks differently to many NBA players?

I've seen you spout nonsense about him "impersonating" Kyrie Irving. Should he just shut up and dribble?

Jaylen is already playing like an All-Star? I get it, it's difficult to get past the award cabinet because it apparently has the magical ability of showing how good a player has been (like there hasn't been an insane amount of snubs in these ::)), but awards are very unreliable in gauging player value.

Btw Pippen is miles better than Tatum right now, there's no shame in Brown not turning into a Pippen.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Well as a cost-controlled all star his trade value is extremely high. Minnesota might want to move on from KAT.

So would they draft Wiseman then trade for Brown?

Nope nope nope.

Keep jay and Jay together!  And never trade smart!

Those are my core principles with this team and I'm not changing them.

Tatum and Brown are so good that anyone you want to trade them for is untradeable by the current team they are on. Sorry folks, the only way we’re winning titles is by building through the draft and filling in gaps with cheap vets. The good news is that when this approach works it yields titles, plural, rather than just a title.

Not just yet. Think they'll give KAT + D-Lo + #1 pick / trade target a ride in 2020-21 before shipping KAT. KAT and D-Lo are best friends after all

Yeah, if they didn't just trade for D-Lo, I might think there's a chance; but they have to give it another year. I'm not going to lie, I would be intrigued by a Jaylen for KAT swap.

Obviously you do it for Giannis or Luka, as well; otherwise, stay the course, enjoy what Jaylen brings to our team and watch the Jays continue to grow. We are in a pretty enviable position.

If Giannis became available, I’d offer Brown.  That’s about it, though.

Basically. Giannis and other such MVP talents who aren't defensively weak (Durant if he comes back healthy) are the guys I'd consider
