Have you guys noticed that whenever Tatum takes what he knows is a bad shot he always overcommits trying to get the offensive rebound and the is out of position for the defensive possession

yes!  he always forgets about def balance when he does that.
he is typically the guy furthest from the basket, so he needs to get back
