Why?

Do you see how the Celtics are set up for the foreseeable future right now?
exactly

There is no guarantee that Giannis and Tatum would have the same chemistry that brown and Hayward for example has with Tatum. They may clash like kyrie did. Actually I would bet on it as both want to be the alpha

At the end of the day, it depends on how far we go. If we don’t make it to the finals, ainge offers brown

100% Agree. We have young talent and CHEMISTRY.  We have seen this season how important chemistry is.

I have said all along that this group needs a killer, knock-down shooter off the bench and an upgrade in the post, though if Rob Williams keeps improving, we may have what we need there. He doesn't need to be an all-star, but he needs to become a very good player with consistency.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Giannis is going to Toronto or Miami anyway.

I think if he leaves he's going to Dallas. Luka + Giannis would be a 10+ year dynasty.

I agree. If the Celtics go to the ECF (or more), and the Bucks are eliminated by the Heat, why would you trade the players who got you there, maybe ruin the chemistry, for a guy who showed he struggles to carry his team in a deep playoff run (Not saying Giannis is overrated at all, but he has his limits too).

I think we're a different animal compared to the Bucks. Say we trade Tatum and picks for Giannis, that would leave us a lineup of:
PG: Kemba
SG: Jaylen
SF: Hayward
PF: Giannis
C: Theis
Kemba is a more reliable offensive creator than Middleton thanks to his playmaking and is a great fit next to Giannis with his prowess in the PnR as well as his off-ball movement, ditto for Jaylen with his quick-hitting offence, ntm Hayward's excellent on/off-ball game that fits seamlessly next to on-ball creators while offering some on-ball creation when needed. That team fits perfectly next to Giannis with multiple reliable creators in the half court as well as elite high volume shooting on the perimeter (maybe Theis isn't that great, but Stevens can probably get him to be a good enough corner shooter to keep defences honest) and is a dynasty in the making imo.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

If it doesn't cost Tatum and Brown in a sign and trade, yes.

I think a sign and trade would cost us every major asset except Tatum & Brown. Sending Kemba & Hayward to a team of their choices and the returning players + picks would go directly to the Bucks, along with our young prospects and picks going to Bucks no one could out bid us.

Milwaukee Bucks: Myles Turner, TJ Warren, Jeremy Lamb, RJ Barrett, Julius Randall, Robert Williams, 2020 14th pick, 26th, 30th, 2022 Boston Celtics pick

Boston Celtics: G. Antetokounmpo, T. Antetokounmpo, D.J Wilson

New York Knicks: Kemba Walker, George Hill

Indiana Pacers: Gordon Hayward, Langford

I think a team with Giannis, Tatum & Brown has the prospect to be as dominant as the LeBron Heat team except with more longevity.

Horrible trade for Indiana, and would be horrible of us to trade Kemba to New York

I suspect the cost is going to be too high, if it involves giving up either of the Jays which I would be unwilling to do.

I'm actually pretty high on our current team...I feel like we're a couple years ahead of schedule. Tatum, Brown, Timelord, GWill, those guys have a lot of upside. Kemba and Hayward (if he stays which I hope he does) are two All-Star caliber players who are perfectly happy to swallow their egos and play supporting roles, even if it means they don't touch the ball in the 4th quarter, yet they've been nothing but supportive of the younger guys, but if they need to they can step up. It's rare to have players like that.

Timelord is the guy who I think, if he continues to develop and be more consistent with what he's shown in these playoffs and gets better defensively, and if he develops a jumpshot, he could be the guy that really completes this team.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Giannis is going to Toronto or Miami anyway.
I heard from several friends that Giannis is going to the Warriors
Hope that doesn't happen

These friends are avid Warriors fans from San Francisco
They are convinced Giannis takes a pay cut like Durrant because he wants a championship ring
