CP3 had plenty of chances down the stretch last night to win that game for OKC and he blew them all. He turned the ball over on one play, almost turned it over on the last possession before the out of bounds play too, and he passed off several times instead of going for the shot himself when it was clear his teammates were not ready to step up.

All that talk about being made for the moment and he came up totally empty.

Harden on the other hand, with all his offensive struggles, stepped up with the big defensive play.

Despite all that from OKC they still had a chance to win it but somehow completely failed to even inbound the ball for a final shot down 2 even after 2 timeouts and one officials review. They also missed a free throw by Gallinari that could have cut it to one before the inbounds play. Unbelievable that the best they could get was Steven Adams running towards the inbounder near the sideline.

Dort not only scored 30 but asking him to make the final shot is a tall order

What was the really dumb and I was screaming at the TV....  all SGA had to do was lob the ball to Steven Adams for a quick layup attempt

I mean he had 6'5 Tucker front him.

This said, who know if Adams could handle the pass, lay it up cleanly and execute.  But I mean it was their best shot

Too bad they didn't have Timelord. He could have executed the alley hoop dunk
Yeah, on that first inbounds play that they abandoned Adams was wide open.

Could have also sent in Nerlens Noel, given he is a great vertical threat and would have forced Houston's hand. Just bad all around

I was watching the highlights of the game without knowing who won, and towards the end of the highlights I thought, "Hmm, I wonder if Chris Paul chokes yet again?" Sure enough, he did, missing that short shot with just a few seconds left. Doesn't even matter that he had a triple double ... dude just can't get it done when it counts.
