So what are the odds the Sixers mail it in and go home in game 4? They looked crestfallen after this loss.

Supposedly Embiid said this:

Joel Embiid on being down 0-3: "I don't want to be swept. I don't want that on my resumé. Like I said, I've been playing my butt off. I'm going to come in and do everything I can to make sure we win a game."

And a user on the Celtics subreddit said:

I think we broke him. From having championship expectations to just looking forward to not getting swept

Sounds about right to me.

Embiid should think about leaving Philly and come join the Celtics.

Wonder if he's content with where he's at, or rather, where Philly is at. Gotta imagine he'll push for regime change around there

My opinion, I think he looks done with Philly. Or he's basically thinking, "I'll give them my demands this offseason, if they don't do them, I'm out". Similar to what Lebron often does with the teams he's with, "playing GM".

I think Doris Burke mentioned it, but she was on a recent podcast of JJ Reddick’s and I think Embiid was too. Embiid seemed upset they let Reddick, Butler and others go over the past few years. And Doris noted she felt Embiid still didn’t seem to "buy into Philly long term" and that he sounded notably less certain about his future there. That seemed telling IMO

If Hayward opts out, would we potentially have enough space to take his salary?

fully expect philly to make another massive trade blunder ....like Fultz and Tatum.   I think they will panic and trade Embiid to Warriors for their pick and several others others .  Players that may never be better than rotation players.  They tanked for YEARS and YeARs to get Embiid ...finally their star big man .  To trade him off for a few first round picks seems very foolish.   Simmons was born to play on the Lakers ,  philly should keep embiid ,  Simmons and Embiid will be like Irving and bron and both exit .

Wow imagine Warriors end up with Embiid and they somehow lure Giannis away from Milwaukee. That's a superteam winning multiple titles.

Kemba Walker now knows what winning feels like. I'm excited to watch him win his first playoff series. Remember when Al Horford could never beat LeBron in the playoffs as a Hawk? The Celtics turned it around for him and got him a few W's. The Celtics is a team that turn players' career around  ;)

couldn't beat lbj with us either. i wish lbj would have stayed in the east, we were poised to end his career. Cs could have made his end the way they did so often before he won a chip!

Yeah, actually I think Kemba was also 0-28 against Lebron in his career before coming here. He got 1 win though in a blowout, and was not too far off from #2 back in February at Staples Center.

Yeah, I wished we beat LeBron back when he was in the East in the Brad Stevens/Marcus Smart era. But nice to get a couple of playoff wins for Horford against LBJ. We had them in 2018 had we won Game 6 or 7  >:(
