Brown likely should've been fired a long time ago for his insistence on the Horford/Embiid pairing playing together, but that he has yet to adjust to us completely exploiting the drop coverage on the PnR is reason enough to fire him right there.

I'm no fan of Brett Brown, but in fairness to him, it's not often that a coach supplied with two $100M+ players who can't play together.  That roster construction is awful.

it's just me or this playoffs refereeing, i mean all games across, seems like regular season?
If by that you mean soft and whistle-heavy, you're right. Even the ESPN and TNT commentators are noting it, which really shows how bad it is
thats what i meant, i was expecting a lot less whisles and a lot more contact allowed

embiid with 20 minutes already. celtic starters 18 for brown, 16 tatum. everyone else 14 or less.

celtics bench doing okay so far. playing hard defense and some scoring.

they are stepping up their play.

Now unfortunately the dreaded 3rd quarter awaits.

Ideally we start off with a run and pull away for good, but that won't happen. But yeah, I do feel one good run and PHI might give up pretty much.

Maybe not quite like RS, but I don't see a clear distinction either. Especially when it comes to refs officiating certain dudes..

I expect Tobias Harris to wake up some. We should keep a closer eye on Richardson obviously.

Defense just needs to stay solid, I think we can get whatever shot we want against Philly.

For some reason I am not able to get scores on NBA.com as usual so I can't get to the box-score.  Anyone know why scores aren't showing (either on the home page or when I click "scores" tab)?

I always use espn to have the box score up during the games.

https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=401236269

Thanks.  Always get from NBA.com but this is great.

Kanter a +23 in 13 minutes.

Yeah we need to watch out. Sixers probably know this series is over for good if they fall behind 2-0 in it. They'll play like a desperate team in the 2nd half for sure

celtics can play better. all starters not named tatum combined to be 2 for 13 on 3 pointers.  :P

it will be the tough and aggressive defense that wins this game for them.

Celtics 52.4% - 10/22 3PT - Bench 50 minutes 17 pts
Philly 50% - 3/10 3PT - Bench 29 minutes 4 pts

Kanter 13 minutes 7 PTS - 7 Rebs (<cough>100% from three)
Grant 12 minutes 5 PTS - 4 Rebs (<ahem> 100% from three)

Romeo 9 minutes no pts - no rebs - no nuttin but +15

Kemba's got 15, if he goes off in the second half? Uh oh.

That run at the start of the 3rd featured a Tatum bank heave and a Kanter three. What are the chances one, let alone both, go in? Of course I dont feel bad even a little for a Philli team that purposefully lost for 4 years, thats karma.

Also at some point maybe the 76ers should mix up their pick and roll coverage. They are always dropping the big which gives tatum/Kemba wide open looks. I mean maybe try blitzing the ball handler and making a boston team with some questionable offensive players on the floor right now beat you?

It's really nice to see Kemba looking more comfortable and taking over more of the scoring. Tatum and Brown are great, but we need Kemba's contribution all the way through the playoffs now.
