Two years ago the controversal but good contributor and smart analyst LarrybirdMVP left the forum with the conviction the process in Philly was way ahead our project. Nothing was more wrong. They could have a line with Embid-Tatum-Simmons-Butler... And now they are cooked.

I mentioned it earlier, but a few years ago, the 76ers turned down a trade offer for the #3 draft pick that became Jaylen Brown. The Celtics asked for Nerlens Noel and the Lakers pick that they eventually picked up in the Tatum trade.

Can you imagine Embiid-Tatum-Simmons-Butler-Brown?

Mike

Didn't know about that. Crazy. It shows also it's not only about genious of Ainge and blindness of Brand but also sometimes the planets are or not on the line.

You wanna talk about HOME games?

Every game is a home game for da Magic

Hey that's not fair for the Milwaukee Bucks!

My favorite Libertyballer comment of the night:  "Hey Sixers fans! Make sure you remember to send in your deposits for season tickets next year."

Brooklyn and Philadelphia both don't want to deal with Danny Ainge anymore

Brad deserves credit for this one. Good adjustments, rode the hot hand, trusted Kanter. All-round good stuff

Except they aren’t at home.  I fully agree with Scal that they will miss their real home court. Didn’t they have the biggest differential between home and away records this season?

That was the joke!

Exactly!  ;D

Stevens vs Brett Brown is just unfair. Brown is very likely gone from the NBA after this series.

Larbrd33 was banned from CS for some comments he made, which is really unfortunate (you can find him over at Celtics Reddit if you want to find him).

Anyway, that wasn't exactly what he said, but he was on board the process. Unfortunately for Philly, they squandered just too many of those picks. If they had taken Tatum instead of Fultz, for instance, I don't think we'd be laughing right now. Honestly, last year might have been their best chance. They traded away some solid players and picks for Harris and Butler (and unfortunately they lost Butler and signed Horford in his place). The Kawhi experiment just proved to be a little too much...by a bounce.

Oh I thought he lived for personal reasons... Many time i didn't agree on him but I must say he had the abilty to interrogate you... Thanks for the info.

After even if they had beaten Raptors, nothing says they would beat Bucks or the GSW epidemy of injuries would happen the same I guess. This team was already not so much consolidate and mentaly prepare to win the title.

And yes it is good to laugh (not badly) because I was for years also thinkibng 76ers could be our east title stoppers, taking the pkace of LBJ.

It really sucks losing Hayward, but the Sixers can't use not having Simmons as an excuse anymore.

Our depth despite what some thought, really showed tonight and helped us compensate for Hayward. We still have 3 20 ppg scorers, and Smart, Wanamaker, Langford and Semi all did very well covering Hayward's minutes.

For real. it'd be like Garry Kasparov taking on an 8 year-old in chess

Horford another 2 point, 1 rebound performance in the 2nd half after the same stat line in the first half.  He did have one block in the 2nd half.

I'm sure Philly fans are losing their crap right now.

It really is bad.

Like, I think he'd look better in a different role on a different team, but I'm not so sure anymore.  He's gotten worse as the season went on and has been worse yet in the bubble.

It's remarkable because he was completely invisible out there.  He may be aging but the skill set that has served him so well in his career should still be there.  I'm guessing a combination of poor fit, poor chemistry, a probably bad coaching - I don't watch basketball outside of the C's anymore so I'm not sure.  Maybe he really is just cooked.
Yes all those are factors, but I distinctly recall Horford as a Celtic disappearing for stretches. He is a complementary player who is best distributing the ball like a PG from the high post and hitting an occasional 3.  Danny was right to lo-ball him in the offer.

Tacko Fall played 20 minutes less than Horford tonight.

And he finished with only 1 point less and 1 rebound less than Horford LOL
