They just can’t seal the defender. Rockets too strong and being allowed to blow up the seal. Makes the drives way less effective.
Eh players don't really know how to use their hips nowadays, I find their technique to be lacking rather than their strength.

It’s the same Celtics players who normally do a great job sealing. Tonight no dice.

These refs are sucking anus. Flagrant? Really? When will Harden get the same treatment for pulling those same tactics?

I don't know why Brad is playing Romeo.  He got torched twice in the first half despite some other good defensive plays.  Made a big mistake there by shading Harden to his left - the direction Harden wants to go.
This is harsh. I thought Romeo looked like a grizzled vet playing great defensively while he has been out there

He got blown by twice in the first half - each time the Rockets got an and-1.

Do you expect Brown and Smart to play 48 minutes?

No, but I don't expect a rookie to be able to perform adequately against a team like the Rockets.  I think Semi would be a better choice.

So a three point play isn't good but a four point play is fine? Because following your earlier logic, Semi shouldnt play either because he had good defensive plays but also got blown by Westbrook and fouled Harden for a 4 pt play.

The larger point was having a player with more experience substituted in the game before a rookie would be.  In most cases this is going to be a better choice.  Why go with Langford before Semi?  Yeah, Brad doesn't know either.  That's why he second guessed himself and took Langford out.

The point is selective criticism. Your points were refuted and now you are moving goalposts.  ;D

I'd honestly be fine if we just cut Wanamaker. I can't stand watching him play out there.

The original question was always why you'd bring in a rookie for defensive purposes.  Especially before a more experienced player like Semi who is a defense oriented player.  I'd also hope that our players watched the film and don't shade Harden to his left like Langford did.
