Dang I just realized, after tonight, no more games for about a week.

Happy the team gets to rest and heal, but a week of no basketball  :(

Feels like we need the rest, chance to rest up some of these niggles.

Hayward is atrocious tonight. Terrible decision with the clock where it was, too.
Leading the team in rebounds and assists, has missed a few open looks. Atrocious seems a bit of an overreaction.

1-9 is not missing a few open looks lol

I understand people miss shots, but on nights like tonight with one of our big four out, Hayward simply has to step up with his scoring.

Not all of his shots have been open looks,

But I didn't realise it was that simple. You just need to "step up" and the shots fall. You should be a head coach somewhere with inspirational nuggets like that. While you're telling Gordon to step up, tell him not to worry about passing or rebounding, that's obviously not worth a [dang].

Hilarious that you're making this argument when he was 1-9 like that's not bad lol

Hilarious that you only seem to be aware of his shooting numbers this game. And even more so that "simply stepping up' is some sort of actual solution.

I mean, you're the only one who has been talking about his entire game. I've been talking exclusively about his offense, specifically his scoring. Not sure what's so difficult to understand about that.

Nights like tonight his scoring has to be there and he can't be going 1-9. Bar none, regardless of how solid he is playing in the rest of his game.

"Hayward is atrocious tonight. Terrible decision with the clock where it was, too."

Is what you said. So yes, it's difficult to understand what you now say you mean when that's nowhere near to what you actually said.

"Hayward is atrocious tonight. Terrible decision with the clock where it was, too." - Right after he missed his third straight open three and shot it early on an end of the quarter standard "hold it for one" possession.

"1-9 is not missing a few open looks lol

I understand people miss shots, but on nights like tonight with one of our big four out, Hayward simply has to step up with his scoring."
- Pretty obviously talking only about his offense and scoring, as evidenced by me explicitly focusing on that facet of his game in my statement and not mentioning the other facets.

We must have very different understandings of what "difficult to understand" means, my friend.  :)

Right again, I understand you don't explain yourself very well, you don't seem to.

You're right. There's probably a much better way to explain myself than explicitly stating in plain language and quoting the supporting statistics the exact thing I was intending to say. I've got to get better at that. lol

Anywho, this conversation has run its course. TP for the exchange.

Time to win the 4th. Hayward, Kemba and Tatum will need to lead the way

Tatum heating up. Which means it's time to take him out and not get him another shot til the last few minutes.

Jayson keeping us ahead. Anyways, Kanter has been really disappointing the last couple of games. Can't finish, can't rebound, and can't defend.

I'm getting uncomfortable with how comfortable he's getting with those stepback iso 3's, though. Very Harden-esque, which isn't a good thing.

There's certain match ups that he's just not going to be a net positive against. It's nothing on him, he's a great guy, people seem to love him. He works hard, but his defense and foot speed is going to be his Achilles.

I was ok with that one, since he had the aggressive dunk the play before.

Wonder if we see Grant Williams or if he was thrown into the doghouse for his lackluster defensive effort on Harrell in the 1st half.
